The Citizen, 2000-07-05, Page 14PAGE 14. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 5, 2000. East Wawanosh Public School Valedictorian extends thanks to teachers, parents By Emily Elston Vision without action is only daydreaming. Action without vision is only spinning your wheels. Action with vision will ger you to where you want to go. Fellow graduates, parents, teach ers, family, and friends. It’s an hon our to represent the graduates of 2000! It just seems like yesterday we were graduating from kindergarten in our pink, purple and yellow flow ered dresses,-and for the guys, their best pants and tops. We started with 17 classmates. Today, the girls are in beautiful dresses, make-up, and hair in up-dos with the guys in their best suits and we graduate with 14, the nine of us knowing each other since kindergarten. But we wouldn’t be here tonight without the love and support of our parents. They were the ones who took pictures of the first day of school, walking on the big yellow bus; they were the ones helping us with our homework when we were stuck; they were the ones who went on field trips with us; and they were, the ones who went with us to buy our graduation dresses and suits, On to 9 — Back row, from left: Thomas Marks, Adam Lutz, Trever Koehler, Ryan Brubacher and Matthew Hanna. We couldn’t have made those whole nine years without them. As the years come and go, we will never forget the special people who taught us how to tie our shoes, how to sing (which I still need some help with), history, caring for others and French, just to name a few. Those are our teachers. They were kind and good friends to everyone and we couldn’t have made it without them. I believe it was Mrs. Wilson in kindergarten, with her dress-up area and sandbox. It was Mrs. Brydges in Grade one with Marshmallow the rabbit and the warm fuzzies and cold prickles she taught us about.
