In memory Investigation continues in fatal hit and run Huron OPP are continuing their investigation into the tragic motor vehicle accident that took the life of 30-year-old Shane Worse! I of Bluewater Beach, Goderich. This accident occurred on Hwy. 21 just south of Goderich at approximately 2:30 a.m. on June 26, 1998, Once again investigators are ask­ ing for the assistance of the public regarding any information that may assist in solving the case. The investigation has revealed that a teal or aqua-coloured car was trav­ elling north along Hwy.21 close to the time of the accident. Investigators have also learned that a south-bound tractor trailer passed by the scene. Information has been received about another red coloured automobile that apparently passed by the scene travelling northbound. Investigators are interested in any information regarding these vehicles and would like to speak to the driv­ ers. It is believed that these people as Members of the Brussels Legion Pipe Band and Rev. Nancy Beale led the way into Brussels Cemetery on Sunday afternoon for the annual Decoration Day service. (vtcky Bremnerphoto) Thefts in MeKillop and Blyth On June 18 just before 10:30 a.m. a theft was reported at a residence on Cone. 6 in MeKillop Twp. Sometime during the night a person came onto the property and went to a hose lead­ ing to a gasoline tank. The hose was cut and 125 gallons of fuel was siphoned from the tank. The owners also found that a gar­ den trellis by the side of the shed was destroyed and that the culprits had smashed beer bottles on the paved driveway. The theft is valued at $500. Anvone who has knowledge on well as those of other vehicles, which may have been travelling along Hwy. 21 at the time of the acci­ dent may be able to provide impor­ tant details. During a recent meeting with the parents of Shane Worsell, investiga­ tors were struck by the family's grief. “Shane’s mother, whose birthday is June 21, no longer looks forward to the day as one of celebration. It’s now only a reminder of (he last time that she had lunch with her son prior to his, death. Shane’s parents are hopeful that the information will be forthcoming which will lead to solv­ ing this case and provide them a sense of closure,” said Sr. Const. Shropshall. On June 10 at 9:30 p.m. a storage shed was found forced open at a res­ idence in Blyth. The owner told police that a motorized go-cart had been stolen. This go-cart Is unique and one of a few that can be found in the area. The four-wheeled go-cart named “DINGO” is black and purple in colour and has a roll bar with pink foam.
