Netminder Evan Ducharme made some excellent grabs during the first half, keeping Brussels in the game. Listowel notched two before Brussels was able to get on the board. Audrey Fenton opened the meet­ ing by welcoming the members and one visitor. Mary Taylor conducted the wor­ ship. The meditation dealt with three fathers told about in the Bible, com­ paring their love and forgiveness to that of God. Edith Vincent was in charge of Bible study, continuing with the Book of Matthew, who they claimed wrote the first gospel before 50 AD. Mrs. Fenton had an interesting Mission study that was about Cathy Nell Whatley, her husband and three young children who are in Indonesia before halftime. Cameron Schlosser and Gavin Bowers showed good hustle while Vanessa Ropp was strong on defence, digging out shots and stop­ ping attacks. Chris Becker made a nice clearing shot to prevent a rush. Lindsay and Ducharme were thwarted several times in the second half as they put pressure on the Listowel netminder. 4x100-metre relay. Grey Central Bantam Girls placed: first, 400-metres, Julia Schlumpf; second, 800-metres, Paula Bowies and first, standing long jump, Emily Roberts. Betty and John Giousher of Morris Twp. marked their 50th anniversary with family, friends and neighbours at a barbecue, June 17. Mrs. Giousher was bom to Milo and Edna Casemore of Morris Twp. and Mr. Giousher was the son of George and Stella Giousher of Tumberry Twp. The couple was wed June 17, 1950 in Bluevale with Rev. Charles McDonald officiating. They were attended by Joan (Brydges ) McDonald and Glen Casemore. After a honeymoon in Niagara Falls, they settled in Bluevale for a time until they moved to a farm on the first concession of Morris. They are the proud parents of Brenda (Ken) Cucksey of RR4, Wingham and Barb (Pete) Vossen of St. Marys. Their grandchildren are Chrystal, Jennifer, Jonathan and Bridget Cucksey and Stephany and Devin Vossen. Nicholas and Benjamin from Barrie, Mary and Ivan Wightman from Brucefield, Jim and Violet Smith from Listowel, Eleanor Dine from Wroxeter, Bill and Doreen Taylor and Muriel and Ada Taylor all of Belgrave.
