For those who attended the Sunday evening service at Zion Mennonite Fellowship in Grey
Twp., there were inspirational stories and songs as the Gospel Echoes New Life Team
performed. With its mission of outreach, the team not only performs at churches, but
spreads the word at prisons. Performers were Jon Sommers, left, Brendan Nolt, Anita and
Todd Neuschwander.

THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 2000. PAGE 19.
By Marie Forsythe and
Stacey Smith
Thursday, April 13 was a very
busy day for the students of
Brussels Public School. Both
kindergarten classes and Grades l
and 2 went to the Wingham
Heritage Theatre to see Cindy
Cook who was a former host on
Polka Dot Door. The Grade 3 and 4
classes travelled to Seaforth to take
part in agricultural program, Slice
of Huron.
The main excitement for this
week is the upcoming long
weekend. There are no classes on
Good Friday or Easter Monday.
The kindergarten class is busy
reading books and trying to get
ready for Easter.
The Grade Is are also learning to
read books. They went on a field
trip to Teeft’s grocery store and
have written letters to the people
who work there. As well, they are
learning some new computer
software and working on spring
activities.
The Grade 2 class is working on
experiments, learning about soccer
and putting together a time capsule
similar to the one that was opened
in March.
The Grade 3s are working hard to
prepare themselves for the
provincial testing that will happen
in May. They are learning about
fractions and money. They really
enjoyed their trip to Slice of Huron.
They would like to send a special
thank you to Nanci Ducharme,
Trisha Clarkson, our Earth Friendly
Garden co-ordinators and Mr. Scott

The Grade 4s are now back in the
21st century. They have been
studying medieval times in class
and to finish the unit they held a
medieval feast complete with
model castles and costumes. It was
quite an event. They too enjoyed
their visit to Slice of Huron and
now they are busy making maps.
The Grade 5 and 6 class are
studying electricity in science. In
phys ed they are becoming acrobats
by learning all about gymnastics
and in social studies they are
discussing the First Nations.
The Grade 6 and 7 class had to
build geometric solids and had to
