For Grade 9 students who have a

requirement to fill, the theatre has

overflowing children’s section will
stir the imaginations of our
youngest readers. Also featured is
an increasingly popular music
section including books, CDs,
cassettes, records, and sheet music.
For some folks the books aren’t
the main attraction. It takes a
strong will to walk away without a
taste of the Blyth Festival’s famous
homemade pies. You can enjoy by
the slice while browsing or take a
whole pie home to savour while
reading one of your new books.
Admission is free and most
books are priced at $1, with the
salespeople have the opportunity to
use their people skills.
Interested people will be able to
meet the house managers, tour the
’ theatre, get an overview of volun
teer positions, emergency evacua

procedures and participate in a
question and answer session during
a volunteer orientation night,
planned for May 17 at 7 p.m. More
than 200 Friends of Blyth will be
chosen.
Both seasoned and inexperienced
volunteers are encouraged to attend
the training session.
