Baptized were MacKenzie Grace McNichol, daughter of Ron and Michelle, and Hannah Elizabeth Alice Ortman, daughter of Eric and Patty. Profession of Faith welcomed Patty Smith, Richard and Cathy Badley as new members to the church. Eric Ortman was welcomed to the congregation by transfer of membership. The project should be completed by the first of August, said Coun­ cillor Jeff Howson, in preparation for the recreational vehicle and motorcycle show, Communities in Bloom judging and the Threshers reunion. With the impending cash infu­ sion from either the outright sale of the PUC or partial buy-out in a shared venture, council said there would be sufficient funds to replen­ ish drained reserves for the comple­ tion of the road work. The offering was collected by Fred deBoer, Stephanie Root, Donna and Erin Moore. Karen Giousher and Joanne MacDonald presented the offering at the front.
