Business owners plan motorcycle show, flea market By Janice Becker Citizen staff The weekend of Aug. 19 and 20 could see thousands of people arrive in northern Huron to feed their love of motorcycles and recre ational vehicles. Speaking on behalf of her hus band Brian, Blyth business owner Lisa Love attended the April 3 Blyth council meeting to discuss details for a planned recreational vehicle and motorcycle show and flea market at Threshers Park in late summer. Hoping to take advantage of the Walton motocross scheduled for the same weekend, Love said her husband wants to provide another activity in the area for the thou sands who will be attending the motocross weekend. In co-operation with Chris Lee, host of the motocross, Love plans to advertise the show through motocross competitions during the UCW guest speaker talks of life changes The UCW of Blyth United Church met Tuesday, March 28. Bernice McClinchey and Dorothy Daer opened the meeting with worship on the theme, Life’s Changes. They gave the story of Naomi and her daughters-in-law Orpah and Ruth. When Naomi’s husband and sons passed away, she was bitter, changed her name to Mara, and left Moab for Bethlehem. Ruth did not return to her parents, but went with Naomi and worked in the fields; thus displaying the love which is spoken of in I Corinthians 13. Candice Howson conducted the business. Entry could be gained from County Rd. 25 (Blyth Road) with emergency exits at other locations. Love said that arrangement would work as they were planning separate ticket prices for the show/flea market and for the pig roast and dance. It takes time but is more important than giving advice.” The most important thing is relationships with family and friends. Bitterness is unhealthy. Everybody deals with pain or grief differently.
