Serving them up hot FENNA HULZEBOSCH Mrs. Fenna Hulzebosch of Holland Homes, Brampton and for­ merly of Blyth passed away on Feb. 28, 2000 in her 87th year. Fenna was bom on Dec. 23, 1913 in Ambt Hardenberg, The Netherlands to the late Hendrik and Fennigje Hofsink. She was the beloved wife of the late Zwier Hulzebosch. She will be missed by two sisters and five sisters-in-law in Holland, sister-in-law Alie Sendink of Burlington and brother-in-law Herman and Willy Hulzebosch of Burlington. She will be missed by good friends Frits and Grace Datema, Auburn and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service at the Blyth Christian Reformed Church, Blyth on Thursday, March 2. Rev. Adrian VanGeest officiated. Pallbearers were John Sandink, Albert Sandink, Henry Sandink, Zwier Sandink.. Luke Sandink and Arnold Hulzebosch. Interment is at Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy dona­ tions to the Blyth Christian Reformed Church Food Bank would be appreciated. H. Elliott hosts WMS The March meeting of the WMS was held at the home of President Helen Elliott with eight members in attendance. Isobel Gibson was in charge of devotions. She opened with a poem, What God Hath Promised. Secretary Mary Huether read the minutes. Treasurer Leona Armstrong read her report. Mrs. Elliott noted that the Easter Thankoffering envelopes are to be given out April 9 at both church doors. • The roll call was answered by facts about Cuba. The offering was received and Mrs. Gibson gave an offertory prayer. She then read Luke 17: 11-19. there were passages read pertaining to the scripture. Mrs. Gibson concluded the scrip­ ture with a final reading- In the business portion it was noted Mission Awareness Sunday is May 6. Plans were made for the next meeting on April 3 which will be the Easter meeting. Mrs. Elliott showed a very inter­ esting film on Cuba featuring its three main Christian groups. Mrs. Perez spoke on the Methodists, Rev. Carlos for the Presbyterians and Dr. Papos for the Baptists. In 1922 the Presbyterian Church was organized in Cuba. In 1959 Castro entered Cuba. Education increased to a 99 per cent literacy rate, free health care was given, gambling and prostitution were controlled. Tourism is the main industry and many people are very poor. The Cuban Presbyterian Church could be contacted to see what help could be given.
