Brussels Livestock report Heavy lambs sell for $130,light go for $162.50 Total receipts at Brussels Livestock for the week ending Feb. 24 were 2,412 head of cattle and 232 lambs and goats. The fed steers and heifers sold at prices $ 1 lower. The cows traded on a strong steady Thursday the veal sold $1 to $2 higher, with the lambs selling steady. On Friday the Stocker calves sold on a steady market with the yearlings trading $4 to $5 lower. There were 395 steers on offer selling from $98 to $104 with sales to $1 15.75. One grey steer con­ signed by Kada Farms, Bluevale, weighing 1,340 lbs. sold to Norwich Packers for $115.75 with their over­ all offering of ten steers averaging 1,432 lbs. selling for an average of $104.39. One blonde steer con­ signed by Gordon Brooks, Lucknow, weighing 1,455 lbs. sold to Norwich Packers for $111 with his overall offering of fourteen steers averaging 1,481 lbs. selling for an average of $104.07. Five steers consigned by Charles Ready, St. Marys, averaging 1,491 lbs. sold for an average of $105.89 with sales to $106.50. Three steers consigned by James Armstrong, Bayfield, averaging 1,370 lbs. sold for $105.25. Sixteen steers con­ signed by Jim Howatt, Londesboro, averaging 1,522 lbs. sold for an average of $104.20 with sales to $108.25. Thirty-nine steers con­ signed by Cunningham Farms, Lucan, averaging 1,422 lbs. sold for an average of $101.09 with sales to $106.50. Eleven steers consigned by Harol Jonker, Orangeville, averaging 1,354 lbs. sold for an average of $100.21 with sales to $106.25. Forty-nine steers consigned by Bender Beef Farms, Hensail, aver­ aging 1,400 lbs. sold for an average of $100.13 with sales to $105.75. Twelve steers consigned by Schmidt Brook Farms Inc., Woodstock, aver­ aging 1,584 lbs. sold for an average of $99.82 with sales to $106.75. Eleven steers consigned by Don Culbert, Dungannon, averaging 1,488 lbs. sold for an average of $99.69 with sales to $103.25. There were 182 heifers on offer selling from $98 to $104 with sales to $116. One white heifer consigned by Perry Sereda, Crediton, weighing 1,180- lbs. sold to Norwich Packers for $116 with his overall offering of forty-four heifers averaging 1,272 lbs. selling for an average of $107.55. Two limousin heifers con­ signed by Mux Lea Farms, Woodstock, averaging 1,337 lbs. sold to Dominion Meat Packers for $107.50 with their overall offering of fourteen heifers averaging 1,338 lbs. selling for an average of $99.03. There were 274 veal on offer sell­ ing: Beef, $110 to $144.50; Holstein, $90 to $100; Plain Holstein, $75 to.$90. A grey veal consigned by John Martin, Lucknow, weighing 615 lbs. sold for $144.50, with his total offering of six veal averaging 663 lbs._selling for an average price of $112.77. A limousin veal consigned by Geo., Paul and Mark Pennington, Mildmay, weighing 705 lbs. sold for $144. A limousin veal consigned by John Verburg, Londesboro, weigh­ ing 720 lbs. sold for $ 141.50.
