Blyth Public School Peacekeepers Justin Peters and Lindsay Nicholson gratefully accepted
a donation from Sheron Stadelmann, president of the Blyth Optimists Club, in support of the
Peacekeepers program. The $345 allows the 40 Peacekeepers to buy shirts, hats and treats
and hold a party at the end of the year. Teacher co-ordinator Cheryl Cronin said the
program has been increasingly successful with some Grade 6 students unable to join
because of the large number of participants. Four Peacekeepers are on duty each recess
and help keep the environment safe and happy for the primary students.
BBA hopes to attract Rotarians
The Blyth Business Association
(BBA) will be working on drawing
visiting Rotarians to the village in
May.
Goderich will be hosting the dis
trict conference which draws 300
members and their partners to the
area.
In response to a request for
involvement from the Goderich
Rotary Club, the BBA agreed they
would like to be involved either by
placing material in grab bags for
Rotarians or in some other way.
