The December comparison indi­ cated that it is 44 per cent cheaper to buy a basket of dairy products in four Canadian border cities. This followed an A.C. Nielsen national survey in June that showed it was 17 per cent cheaper to buy a basket of dairy products in Canada. “We offer good value to Canadian consumers and the quality of our products has never been better.” Success stories Core highlighted included the development of niche market opportunities within the reg­ ulated marketing system. “Organic, Kosher and Jersey products are now available in Ontario from Ontario producers,” he said. “We support the Dairy Product Innovation Program at the national level, which provides the opportunity for proces­ sors to access milk for the develop­ ment of innovative dairy products/’
