It was “Bernier Day” in
Cranbrook as 13 Bernese
mountaindogs and their human
companions visited the hamlet last
Sunday. The dogs were taken for a
run in the fields and one of the
human companions running with
the dogs fell and broke a clavicle.
He was in great pain and could
hardly move let alone walk.
Many people in the village with
all-terrain vehicles were away for
the day. The rescue came in the
form of Allan Fretz on his skidoo,
who brought the injured man to the
village. He was taken care of in
emergency at Listowel Hospital.
