Hullett
Happenings
By Jillian, Lindsay and Marie
Hullett’s kindergartens are
learning about transportation. They
are putting paint on the wheels of
toy cars and trucks and driving
them around on paper.
Grade I is studying structures. In
counting they are doing by 25s and
fives. On Jan. 12 they had a contest
to see who could guess the amount
of five coins added together.
They are spelling bigger words in
Grade 2 by adding suffixes and
prefixes. They have learned about
the movement of rolling and
spinning. They are studying the
results of mixing primary colours.
Grade 3 has studied and tested
mazes. At the end of their unit
about pioneers the class will dress
like pioneers for a day.
In Math, Grade 4 is working on
multiplying and dividing. They are
learning about cars in science and
are also writing to pen pals.
Watching the movie Gold Rush
and doing a millennium project on
hyperstudio is keeping Grade 5/6
busy. In language they are working
on nouns. There is going to be a
race in Grade 6/7 with the cars built
in science. Fractions are the math
study.
Society would be greatly appreciated
as expressions of sympathy.

Community thanks snow removers
Many thanks to the gentlemen
who are doing such a great job of
snow removal on the sidewalk
along London Rd. 4. Their efforts
make going for the mail less
challenging and definitely safer.
The sympathy of the community
is extended to Betty Popp on the
death of her sister, Donna
Rutledge, on Jan. 24. Donna lived
with her parents in the Goderich
area and worked for many years in
Dr. Hay’s office in Clinton.
