HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Citizen, 2000-01-05, Page 17MARY JOSEPHINE CAMPBELL At Queensway Nursing Home, Hensail, on Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, Mrs. Mary Josephine Campbell of Hensail and formerly of Blyth passed away in her 96th year. She was the dear wife of James Howard Campbell who prede- ceased her in 1979, and beloved mother of Victor and Joyce Campbell of London, Cecil and Alberta Campbell of London, Frank and Elaine Campbell of London, Laurence and Peggy Campbell of Alberta, Lois and Keith Snell of Swastika, Hugh and Orlena Campbell of B.C. and Harold and Rosemary Campbell of Ottawa. She is survived by a sister, Lottie Freeman of Saskatchewan. Mrs. Campbell will be missed by 14 grandchildren and four great­ grandchildren. Mary is predeceased by her grandsons, Larry (1973) and Jaron (1979) and brothers Victor and Morley Johnston. Mary was the daughter of the late Albert and Honor Johnston. Originally from Westfield, she married Howard on Sept. 26, 1928 at her home there. She had lived in Blyth since 1967 and will be remembered as a faithful member of the Blyth UCW, and as an avid and talented quilter. Visitation and funeral service was held at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes, Tasker Chapel, 129 Queen St., Blyth on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000. Rev. Ernest Dow of the Blyth United Church officiated. Spring interment will take place at Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Blyth United Church. DEBORAH CULBERT Mrs. Deborah Etta (Hicks) Culbert of 127 Suncoast Dr. W., Goderich passed away in London on Dec. 22, 1999 in her 45th year. She was the dear mother of Krista Culbert and Darnell Connelly and Joe Culbert, all of Goderich and beloved daughter of Doris Hicks of Blyth. She will be remembered by special friend Roily Hopkins of Goderich. She was predeceased by her father William J. Hidks. Deborah was born on Dec. 5, 1955 in Walkerton. Deborah was an accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons at Brookside Public School. Friends were received at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., Tasker Chapel, 129 Queen St., Blyth on Monday, Dec. 27 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. A private family graveside service was held on Wednesday, at 11 p.m. Rev. Ernest Dow of Blyth United Church and Les Cook of the Church of God, Blyth, officiated at the funeral. Interment was in Grand Bend Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Huron Addiction Services would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Rooney and the late Edwin Armstrong. She was the dear mother of Lillian and Lloyd Appleby of Blyth, Della and John Veen of Kincardine, George and Lois Armstrong of Kitchener, Nelson and Terry Armstrong of London, Loreena Cunningham of Salford and stepmother of Steve Rooney of Elliot Lake, Thomas and Joyce Rooney of Brantford and Mary Lee Rooney of Listowel. She will be sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and 18 great­ grandchildren. Mrs. Rooney is also survived by one sister, Isabelle Hunt of Seaforth and one sister-in- law Jessie Morrison of Clinton. She was predeceased by a sister, Mae Robertson and three brothers, Charles, Harold and George as well as her son-in-law David Cunningham. Friends were received at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes, Tasker Chapel, 129 Queen St., Blyth on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ernest Dow officiated. Spring interment will be in Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. JOHN HANS KRYZANOWSKI John Hans Kryzanowski of East Wawanosh Twp. passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. He was in his 53rd year. He was the beloved husband of Christa and dear father of Andre* Kryzanowski of London and Cheri Kryzanowski of Sebringville. He will be missed by his parents Hans and/Martha Kryzanowski of Mitchell. He was the loving brother and brother-in-law of Linda and Bob Ahrens of Monkton and Inga and Rick Cartwright of Langley, B.C. Mr. Kryzanowski is survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members. John was predeceased by a brother in Germany. Visitation was held at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes, Tasker Chapel, 129 Queen St., Blyth on Monday, Jan. 3 from 1 - 2 p.m. at which time a memorial service was held in the chapel.
