(Bone) McCauley of Brussels passed away at Huroniea Home for the Aged on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. Born in Brussels on Jan. 11, 1917, Dorothy was in her 87th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Mervin Edgar McCauley. She was the dear mother of Don McCauley and friend Diane Dale of Goderich and Barry McCauley and his wife Diana Maxwell of Seaforth. She was the dear grand­ mother of Steven McCauley and his wife Melissa of Brussels and loving great-grandmother to Seth. Mrs. McCauley was predeceased by her son Gerald and her daughter- in-law Beth. Cremation has taken place. Friends were received one hour prior to the memorial service at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, on Friday, May 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cathrine Campbell of Melville Presbyterian Church offici­ ating. Interment of cremated remains was at Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Melville Presbyterian Church. LEILA JOHNSTON Leila May (Lawson) Johnston of Clinton passed away at Huroniea Home, Brussels on Sunday, May 4, 2003. She was in her 97th year. Mrs. Johnston was born in Morris Twp. on Dec. 11, 1906 and was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Rodger) Lawson. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Ontario Street United Church and the UCW. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey Johnston, who prede­ ceased her in 1976. She was the lov­ ing mother of Helen MacLean of RR2, Kippen, Leona and Jim Armstrong of RR3, Brussels, Doris and Berne McKinley of Truro, N.S. and Joan Campbell of Truro, N.S. She was loved and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Robert and Lynne Armstrong, Bruce and Claudette Armstrong, Brian and Betty Armstrong, Leanne Armstrong, Richard and Robin McKinley, Rodger and Melissa McKinley, Becky and Rene Castillo, Charlene and Gary Carpentier, Grant and Elaine Campbell and Sharon Campbell. Mrs. Johnston was also loved by 15 great-grand­ children. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ruth Johnston of Belgrave and Edna Johnston of Simcoe. Mrs. Johnston was predeceased by two sons-in-law Grant McLean in 1994 and Dwight Campbell in 2002 an J by one great-grandson Christopher Castillo. Friends were received at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 153 High St., Clinton on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service were held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 8 at 2 p.m. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. Rev. Janet Fradette offici­ ated. Flowerbearers were Leanne Armstrong and Becky Castillo. Pallbearers were Robert Armstrong, Bruce Armstrong, Brian Armstrong, Rene Castillo, Rodger McKinley and Grant Campbell. Donations to the Ontario Street United Church, Clinton, Huroniea Auxiliary or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. PIET REINSMA Piet Reinsma of RR2, Clinton passed away at London Health Sciences Centre, South St., Campus on Saturday, May 3, 2003. He was 75. Piet came to Canada in January 1953 and worked for General Coach, Hensail, for seven and a half years. In 1957, Piet started to farm in Hullett Twp. until his retirement in 1986 when his son Lawrence and his family took over the farm. Piet also operated Wallace Turkey Products in Blyth for 23 years from 1964-1987. Mr. Reinsma was a very active member of Gideon International since 1976. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of Ann (Van Den Assem). They were married on July 24, 1954, at the Presbyterian Church, Clinton. He was the dear father of Lawrence and Sandy Reinsma of RR4, Clinton and Ferdinand and Wilma Reinsma of Armstrong, B.C. Mr. Reinsma was the loving grandfather of Stacey, Ian, Andrew, Brandon, Alyssa, Cameron, Carina and Stefan. He was the dear brother of Mins and Tryni Reinsma of Seattle, Washington. Piet had a passion for white-water canoeing and when his health deteri­ orated he enjoyed woodworking and gardening and the outdoors in gener­ al. He will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Friends were received at the Bluewater Funeral Chapel Ltd., Goderich, on May 7 from 2-4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the Bethel Pentecostal Assembly, Goderich, on Thursday, May 8, at I p.m. Pastor Bruce Brodrecht offici­ ated. Pallbearers were Lawrence Reinsma, Ferdinand Reinsma, Mins Reinsma, Ralph Koopmans, Boris Wallace and Jay Oberle. > Interment was in Clinton Cemetery. Memorial donations to Gideon’s International would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. RAYMOND WHITE Raymond Allen White of Brussels passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Monday, May 12, 2003. Bom in Thamesford on July 6, 1934, Raymond was in his 69th year. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Jean (Chesney) White, who passed away in 2001. He was the dear father of Robert, Rodney, Ruth Anne, Rose Marie, Rita Lynn, Anita and Andrew. He was the dear stepfather of Karen, Don, Ken and Shelley and loved brother of Harold, Gerald and Wilma. Mr. White will also be missed by his many grandchildren. At Raymond’s request there was no funeral home visitation or funer­ al service. Cremation has taken place with interment of cremated remains at Zion Cemetery, Thamesford, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, was entrusted with the arrangements.
