FROM WALTON
Stars
study
spring
The Butterfly class of Walton
Little School has been busy this
month. They have been exploring
signs of spring. They have planted
flower seeds.
They had a special visitor come to
their class. Chubby was a baby
piglet, one of many baby animals
they’ve been learning about this
month. A favourite book of the
children has been If You See A
Kitten by John Butler.
The junior pre-school Stars have
been talking about R. The children
have been busy doing all sorts of
crafts relating to the letter R as well
as reading stories about the letter R.
They really enjoy learning all the
letters of the alphabet.
The senior pre-school Acorns
have been busy preparing for their
pretend trip to Florida. They have
been booking trips at their very own
travel agency, reading the travel
brochures and magazines and
predicting the weather.
They received new books for their
classroom from the profits of their
bake sale.
They’ve enjoyed buddy reading
with their new Clifford phonics
packs. They enjoyed a picnic outside
on one of the nice days and they
hope the weather stays that way.

congregation member Marie Coutts.
Rev. Joan Tuchlinsky opened the
service with words of welcome and
the call to worship.
Institute member Leone Forter
spoke on behalf of the ACWW.
There were over 20 members in the
Huron East choir from the various
branches of the Institute including
Walton members Marion Godkin,

It’s spring around Walton as most
are busy on the land and Cook’s sees
a steady stream of fertilizer wagons
coming and going.
Clarence Flood has been a patient
in Seaforth hospital this past week
and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Helen Brenie has had her daughter
Carol Blagrave and children Steven,
Tyler and Cassandra home for a
visit. They enjoyed the nice weather
and went to Grand Bend to check
out the cold water. Be awhile yet
before swimming starts.

Mike didn’t show up to finish on

hospital with wife Shirley Ann to
welcome the arrival of new daughter
Avery Elizabeth Boven into this
world. Big brother Tanner is excited
about his new sister.
Howard and Audrey Hackwell had
unexpected guests one night last
week as well. They answered their
door to two very wet ladies who had
been caught in the sudden rain while
out walking. Judy Lee and myself
had a nice visit and tea and cookies
while we waited out the rain before
continuing our walk home. Thanks
Audrey for the treats.
