CUTHILL. Sincere thanks to
Phyllis, Emerson and their family
for arranging the birthday parties
and supplying the food. Thank you
to Marie Flynn and the Huron
Strings for joining Phyllis in her
entertainment at Huronlea for the
residents March 18. The Irish
music was good and I especially
enjoyed the sacred part. Thank you
to those who sent flowers, gifts,
cards and phone calls. Special
thanks to Orville and Lila for the
beautiful painting. I never had any
ambition to set the world on fire
but the smoke from the candles on
my 90th birthday cake triggered the
fire alarm and brought out the
Brussels Fire Department. Their
arrival with the red lights on the
fire trucks and the excitement
added to the celebration and made
it one long to be remembered. My
apologies and thanks to the
firefighters for the disruption. -
