Helen Stonehouse received word
Sunday of the death of her niece,
Sonja Ellis, of Whitevale. Sonja was
the youngest daughter of the late
Norman and Viola Stonehouse.
Cousins in the area are Mrs. Alan
McKay, Wingham, Thelma Pletch
and Glenn Coultes. Cousins who
attended the funeral on Wednesday,
were Jack and Edith Walker and
Donna Sproule of Goderich and Bill
and Muriel Coultes of Belgrave.
Sinceresympathy is extended to the
families from the community.
Dale and Colleen Lamont of
London were weekend guests at the
home of Dale’s parents Jim and
Irene Lamont. Dale and Colleen, Jim
and Irene and Mike and Donelda
Cottrill and family all attended the
special celebration of Winnie
Vincent’s 100th birthday party held
at the Seaforth Manor. Later that
evening all were supper guests at the
home of Mike, Donelda and
family.
Karen Wilson puts down her bid on an item at the Belgrave
Optimists Soup and Sandwich Silent Auction held this past
Saturday at the Wl Hall. About 300 turned out for lunch.

Warden attends
council meeting
Huron County Warden Dave Urlin
attended the March 11 meeting of
Huron East council to discuss
municipal relations.
He said that with a full
complement of employees,
including a human relations officer,
they could offer assistance to the
municipalities.***
Council proclaimed May 4-10
National Emergency Preparedness
Week.***
Requests for support from St.
Columban/St. Patrick’s School
council and the Maitland Valley
Conservation Authority were
deferred until budget talks.***
Council supported a resolution
from the City of Thorold, asking the
federal and provincial governments
to implement recommendations
from the Romanow Report in order
to improve health care for all
Canadians.

There were no objections to the
Canadian Red Cross Society raffle,
June 12-26.

Accounts payable totalling
$172,403.68 were approved for
payment.

at the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry Municipal Office,

***Tags can be picked up in person or ordered by telephone***
All dogs must be licensed in compliance with By-law No. 30-
2001.
A copy of the complete By-law is available for review at the
Municipal Office.
All dogs must be identified by means of a tag and license,
issued for a (1) one year period by:

The fee schedule shall be as follows:

Kennel License Fee
$20.00 per dog
$75.00
(for a kennel of dogs that are registered or eligible
for registration under the Animal Pedigree Act.
Late Payment Charge $20 00 per dog
(Shall be assessed in addition to the license fee, if the
license and / or tag is not purchased by April 25th)
Excrement:
The By-law requires dog owners to forthwith remove excrement
left by a dog, from property other than the premises of the
owner of the dog. Any person contravening this provision is
subject to a $50.00 fee.
