“Oh the weather outside is
frightful ...”
That theme was on tap a lot this
past week as the white stuff came in
large Bakes and amounts, and the
wind kept time just to let you know
it was January. Just relax and enjoy.
It’s always good to be reminded that
we don’t run the world. Lucky thing
too. January is made for
rescheduling.
Lion’s Park hill was the place to be
if you have an aversion to snow.
Only the joy on a child’s face
heading down the hill tells the true
story of a good snowfall.
It’s pretty dull now that the trees
and decorations are all away for
another year, just the odd bit of tinsel
that escaped reminds us of the
season past and those on the way.

originally written in the Monty
Python/John Cleese method of
telling an incident, it sounds like just
the thing for January diversion. All
the reviews warn not to attend unless
you can laugh at religion. That
should be assumed.
The local policing committee is
looking for interested folks to take
an active part in the safety andz
security of our area. Monthly
meetings, usually the third
Wednesday of each month, occur to
share information and concerns.
Watch for the February meeting
date.
Dig out your book and keep
reading. There are so many to get
done and so little time.
