THE CITIZEN, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2002. PAGE 15.
Blyth PS students write Christmas poems
Dear Santa,
How are you and Mrs. Claus
doing? How are your reindeer? What
are some of your elves' names? How
is Rudolph? I only want a few toys.
This year you can surprise me with
the rest. Am I on the good kid list? I
would like my favourite toys like
some glass things, a camera,
something hockey and a stuffed
animal cat, bunny or a dog. Merry
Christmas. I hope you get through
the snow on Christmas Eve!
Your friend, Kayla Black.
Dear Santa, •
Merry Christmas! Do you have a•
dog at the North Pole? What do you
do for fun? What do you want for
Christmas? I would like a remote
control truck. I hope you have a nice
Christmas.
Your friend, Nick.

A Christmas Poem
Christmas is when Santa comes
down the chimney and gives kids
presents and makes every kid in the
world happy.
Christmas is the joy of the
holidays and all the kids getting out
of school and spending time with the
family and giving and getting gifts.
Christmas is the extreme cold and
having to dress up and putting on all
of those extra layers of clothes like
gloves, pants, hats and coats.
Christmas is when all the people
and nations getting together and
wish everybody a Merry Christmas
and all remembering all of
Bethlehem and when Jesus was
born.
Christmas is getting all the
decorations out and getting- a pine
tree and smelling the pine then
putting on all of the decorations.
Christmas is all about peace and
harmony, getting along and trying to
make world peace and stopping all
of the wars and bringing peace to the
world.
Darcy Young,
Christmas Is...
Christmas is a time of giving, not
getting.
Christmas is about loving and
sharing with others with what you
have.
Christmas is a time when families
get together.
Christmas is not being greedy and
remembering those who don't get
presents.
Christmas is having a good time
with family.
Christmas is having a good time
with family.
Christmas is a special time.
Leticia Kolkman.
Christmas is...
Christmas is the snow falling
lightly through the night, waking up
to see the dawn crisp and bright.
Seeing all the presents left there
through the night, seeing all the
smiles of the families passing by.
Exchanging all your stories of seeing
Santa last night! Flying wrapping
paper and shrieks of joy fill the air.
The most important thing of
Christmas is being with your family.
Merry Christmas!
Corine Falconer.
Christmas...
Christmas is about spending time
with your family and friends.
Christmas is about giving presents
to friends and family.
Christmas comes around once a
year, it brings the winter season
cheer.
Christmas makes stores and malls
busy this time of year.
Christmas season makes people
bring out their decorations.
Christmas time almost always has
snow.
Christmas trees are put up around
the beginning of December and the
houses have lots of lights.
Christmas is about visiting people
you haven't seen all year.
On Christmas night the stars are
bright and the snow looks like little
diamonds.
On Christmas day children open
presents and play in the snow.
On Boxing Day people go back to
work and put away their decorations.
They also use the things they got the
day before.
Evie Horne
Christmas is...
Christmas is when Gramma P.
bakes her famous angel cake and not
one bit of it is fake.
Christmas is the smell of pine.
Christmas is carolers singing at
each and every door.
Christmas is children meeting
Santa Claus in the mall as they give
him their letters, he speaks to them
all.
Christmas is children leaving out
milk and cookies for Santa, and
seeing crumbs in the morning.
Christmas is visiting family, in the
Christmas spirit.
Christmas is families decorating
their trees, as the lights go up there
are many memories.
Christmas is Santa Claus checking
his list twice, to find out who's
naughty or nice.
Christmas is tobogganing with the
young and see their smiles sprung.
Christmas is snowmobiling fun,
among the shining sun.
Christmas is when people can't
resist the desserts, as they know they
ate too much.
Christmas is when children write
Santa letters, hoping that they get
everything they ask for.
Christmas is when it's such a rush
in stores, to give those gifts that
mean so much.
Christmas is a time when you give
in your change, to buy a gift to
exchange.
But the real Christmas is when the
New King was born!
Jennifer Williamson.
Christmas Is ...-
Christmas is love and joy, and
happiness all around the world.
Christmas is family and friends,
and a cup of hot chocolate.
Christmas is decorations and
lights, and presents.
Christmas is the birth of a King
and the love for Him, and the
celebration of many other holidays
like Hanukkah.
Christmas is food and drinks and
dessert.

Christmas is letters to Santa and
the milk and cookies and children's
belief.
Christmas . is Santa leaving
presents and flying with magical
reindeer, and eating all the cookies.
Christmas is on the 25th but the
spirit comes long before, and leaves
long after.
Christmas is setting up the tree or
cutting down your own, and
decorating it with tinsel and balls
with the angel on top.
Christmas is tobogganing with
friends and snowball fights, and
snowmobiling.
Christmas is a lot of things over all
and the spirit cannot be broken.
Jennifer MacDonald.

Dear Santa,
I like all your reindeer. I like you
Santa. I think you will be very busy
Santa. I would like a yo-yo and a
xylophone and a Barbie and a ball
and a teddy bear.
From Janessa
Dear Santa,
I think that you work hard with
your elves and you make a lot of toys
and stuff. You are nice and you are
kind. I like you. Do you like me? I
would like a Power ranger set and a
Hot Wheels set.
From James S.
P.S. I am a good boy.
