Shirley Aitcheson, Stratford,
introduced the guest speaker, Rev.

how culture is passed on from

by our own social rules and should
consider those of the people we are
working with, whether at home or in
other cultures," she said.
Lois Horne, North Easthope,
reviewed several books that are
available from the Presbyterian
Book room. The roil call, Forward
into Mission, was answered with a

Margaret Peebles, Atwood, gave
the Presbyterial treasurer's report.
The offering, received by Dorothy
Miller and Betty Dow was dedicated
by Jean Edmunds, Mitchell.
Karen Horst suggested that the
pneumonia vests that the ladies have

Evelyn Matthison, Avonton,
introduced the speaker Murray
Mitchell, St. Marys, and he told of
his many experiences with mission
groups in Malawi, Peru, Guatemala,
etc. He stated that his cattle were
looked after better than many of the
women in Africa. Malaria, AIDS,
and tuberculosis are very common.
Using slides he illustrated some of
the work being carried out.
Sometimes, to speed things up, he
used children from schools or
orphanages for jobs like compacting
a dirt floor or carrying bamboo.
Mary Duffin, Stratford, thanked
the speaker, and Lillian Spading
gave the courtesy remarks for the
day's program.
