Deitner getting two assists.
The contest against Paisley
Bantams
tie 2
The Brussels Bantams scored two
ties in play last week.
Ripley came to town, Nov. 20, for
a game in which most of the action
took place late in the third.
Brussels held a 1-0 lead through
much of the contest after Matt
McClinchey scored at 13:25 of the
first. Shayne Cochrane and Adam
McClure assisted.
Ripley evened the tally at 12:14 of
the third, starting a flurry of goals.
Brussels put two by the netminder
to go up 3-1 with eight minutes
remaining,_ only to see the win slip
away as Ripley scored at 5:17 and
tied the game at 1:09.
On Saturday, they travelled to
Clinton for a very good game with
good passing plays.
After allowing the home team to
score in the first, Brussels tied the

showed the team that they must play
the entire game, not just when they
feet like it. Despite Stephenson's
four goals and a single from Hoegy,
Brussels was downed 9-5. Assists
went to Hoegy, Ducharme, Cody
Subject and Jutzi.
The squad played another poor
game losing 5-0 to Mildmay.
The team pulled themselves
together for a match up with Ripley.
Though both teams played a good
game, Brussels came out on top,
winning, 5-2. Stephenson once again
led the offence with three goals and
Subject and Prior notching one each.
Deitner aided on two while Baker
and Joel Wilkinson each got one
assist.
After losing in their first contest
against Teeswater, the PeeWees
rebounded with a strong effort to
earn a 2-2 tie. Netters were earned
by Stephenson and Ducharme.
Assists went to Stephenson, Baker
and Subject.
The ninth game of the season saw
Brussels take another tie when they
retaliated for the big loss to Paisley
earlier in the year.
The visitors were strong
favourites, but Brussels Showed
them what can happen by b6lieving
in the team and playing the entire
game. Early scorers were
Stephenson and Tom Cronin, with
assistance from Subject and Gawing
(two).
With just under a minute left in the
game, there was end-to-end rushing
until Baker put the puck in the net
for the tie.
McClinchey, but fell behind 3-1 in
the third period. The Bulldogs
narrowed the margin to 3-2 on a
power-play goal by Kirk Stewart
with three minutes to play.
With Bulldog goalie Travis
Shelton on the bench, Joel Riley
deadlocked the game at three with
40 seconds left. The teams battled
through a scoreless ten-minute
sudden death overtime period.
One minute into double overtime,
the Bulldogs' Cody Anderson
banged in a rebound to give Blyth
the win. Picking up assists for Blyth
were McClinchey, Darren Austin,
Cole Stewart and Mike Bean.
Shelton had an excellent tourney in
the Blyth net.
