THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2002. PAGE 21.
The Brubacher family is busy
finishing last-minute details to
ensure smooth operations at their
Brubachers of Ethel restaurant,
slated to open later this week.
Brad Knight, treasurer for Huron
East would like to mention that bag
tags will be available for purchase at
the restaurant.
As a point of interest, recycling
bins are available at the township
shed. If you have moved to Ethel
and have no bin you can pick up one
"freebie" at the shed otherwise they
are available for $6. Be sure and call
ahead as there is not always an
employee at that location.
Grey Twp. firefighters responded
to two emergency calls over the
weekend. The first call was for a
single vehicle accident at
Molesworth Line and Cardiff Road
on Friday evening. The occupants of
the vehicle received minor injuries
and a hydro pole was damaged. On
Sunday, the firefighters responded to
an emergency medical call.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sutton of
Ethel celebrated their. 68th wedding
anniversary this past Saturday. I
asked Mr. Sutton what wisdom he
might offer to younger married
couples with respect to life and a
long, fulfilling marriage.
"Do it like they teach you in those
safe driving courses nowadays," Mr.
Sutton responded, "and apply it the
same way as you travel the road of
life. Take notice of what's going on
around you and watch as things can
sometimes rise up out of those dead
spots. But if you look into the
distance and keep your eye on the
road you can avoid trouble or you'll
see what's up ahead and you'll be
ready for it."
Best wishes Mr. and Mrs. Sutton.
