THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2002. Obituaries CLARENCE ABRAHAM GOLLEY Mr. Clarence Golley of Morris Twp. passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, Nov. I, 2002. He was 82. Mr. Golley was the beloved son of the late Robert and Ida (Abraham) Golley. He was the dear brother of Dorothy and Wilson Thornton of RR1, Bluevale, Grace Leeson of South Baymouth, Jim and Mildred Golley of Wingham and Glenn and Norma Golley of RR4. Wingham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Len Myers officiat- ed. Interment was in Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, Project 2001 would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. DWIGHT ALEXANDER CAMPBELL Dwight Alexander Campbell, 61, of Truro, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002. A devoted family man, he is sur- vived by his loving wife, Joan (Johnston); children, Charlene (Gary) Carpentier, Dartmouth; Grant (Elaine), Campbell, Truro; Sharon Campbell, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholle Carpentier. Benjamin and Jessie Campbell. Born and raised in Ontario, Dwight moved his young family to Truro, Nova Scotia, where he became partner of Cook's Chick Hatchery Limited. A successful and respected businessman throughout the Atlantic provinces, he was known for his quick wit and sense of humour. Dwight firmly embraced his fami- ly and friends, sharing the joy of life's adventures and challenges. He was a member of First United Church, Truro and the Truro Golf Club. • He is also survived by his parents,. Harold and Adeline (Cardiff) Campbell; brother, Bill (Diane) Campbell; sisters, Nancy (Albert) Wasson; Frances (Steve) Bearss, all of Blyth, Ontario. He will be loving- ly remembered by his mother-in- law, Leila Johnston; Clinton; sisters- in-law, Helen MacLean, Hensall; Leona (Jim) Armstrong, Brussels; Doris (Berne) McKinley, Truro and was a favourite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Blyth United Church with Rev. E. Bannerman officiating. Interment will be in Brussels Cemetery. On Friday evening, Oct. 25 the Huron County Historical Society co- sponsored a dinner meeting with the Maple Leaf Chapter of the IODE at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Goderich. The speaker was historian Andrew C. Holman who teaches in the Department of History in the Canadian Studies Program at the Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA. She was in her 92nd year. Born in 1911 in Morris Twp. she was the beloved daughter of the late Michael Kelly and the late Mary Anne (Hallahan) Kelly. After mov- ing from the farm, she lived in Blyth for many years. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Women's League. She is survived by her nieces Mary Ellen Kelly of Stratford and Anne Kelly and her husband Jack of Port Huron, Michigan. Miss Kelly is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers Bill and Tom Kelly and by one sister Ellen (Nellie) Feeney and her husband Joseph Feeney,' and by three nephews Tom, Jim and Jack Feeney. book, A Sense of Their Duty, a look at middle-class formation in Victorian Ontario towns. BRENDA LOUISE (JOHNSTON) MCCANN Brenda Louise McCann passed away peacefully. at her home in Brampton surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002. She was in her 49th year. She was the dearly beloved wife of Brad and loving mother of society, free from the fetters of social rank, so apparent in the Old World". She was the daughter-in-law of Ruby and the late Leo McCann of Stratford and sister-in-law of Rick and his wife Laura Jean McCann of Aylmer, Dan and his wife. Nancy McCann of Sarnia and Randy and his wife Joni McCann of Mississauga. She will also be sadly missed by her nine McCann nieces and nephews and many friends. Service was held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at St. Paul's United Church Brampton. Interment was at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, donations to Brampton Memorial Hospital Re- development Project would be greatly appreciated by the family.
