All vehicles must be removed from Blyth streets and roadways of the municipality, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Violators will be prosecuted or will be required to bear the cost of having their vehicle towed away. The owner of any such parked vehicle will be liable for any damage to the said vehicle or to snow plow equipment. Lorie Falconer is recovering from a fall and'we hope she is better soon. The village was saddened to hear of the death of Dwight Campbell of Nova Scotia on Sunday, Nov. 3. Our sympathy is extended to Joan and family and to Harold and Adeline Campbell and families. Mait and Mary Edgar of Petrolia visited with his sister Helen •Stonehouse of Belgrave on Friday afternoon, Nov. 1. Greeting at Blyth United Church on Sunday, Nov. 3 were Fred and Deb Hakkers and family. Guest musician was Lynda Lentz- MacGregor. Three members, Paul Kerr, Sandra Elliott and Pam Campbell were welcomed by transfer to the Blyth United Church by Brenda Brooks, clerk of session. The children's hymn was We Praise You for the Sun. Rev. Eugen Bannerman's story to the children was about apples. He had six different kinds of apples. The children remained at the front for the dramatized reading of Joshua 3: 7-17 performed by amanda Bearss, Amelia Carter-Brown, Chelsea Carter-Brown, Meghan Watson and Nicole Meier, then they all went down to Sunday School. Rev. Bannerman's message to the adults was healthy tips. Drink eight glasses of water a day as water cleanses the body, eat lots of apples as they detox the body and get lots of exercise. The choir sang a medley of hymns. Mike Kerr of Blyth was the winner of the first early bird bonus draw in the fourth annual Blyth Bulldogs WIN! WIN! Sweepstakes, held Saturday. He won 10 sweepstakes tickets. "Ticket sales really took off at the end of the week. Almost 300 were sold by Saturday's early bird and we expect strong sales during the next couple of weeks leading up to the second early bird draw said Todd MacDonald, one of the sweepstakes founders. The second draw will be Saturday, Nov. 16 for framed, autographed print. The grand prize draw will be held Christmas Day for a 2003 pickup of the winner's choice. Net proceeds go to the Blyth and District Community Centre Building Fund. Vandals damage museum kiosk On Oct. 29 the clerk of North Huron reported vandalism done to a kiosk located at the beginning of the walking trail just off of Westmoreland Street in Blyth behind Howson Mills. The officer learned that the clear plexiglass panels in the kiosk were scratched and broken out. Also burn marks were left in the wooden benches inside. A private group donated the kiosk and due to the $500 worth of damage done, another one planned may not be erected.
