There were lots of social choices again this week - lots of reasons for another week for thanksgiving - anniversaries, dinners, dances, 'parties and Halloween fun. Joan Golden, our student minister, is away on her required school attendance in Win.lipeg, so the women of the congregation ably filled in to lead in worship at Brussels United.- Their theme was the 40th anniversary of UCW. The work of the last 40 years was celebrated from a global and village view. Names were recalled. Lives again celebrated in their church context - Luella, Mae, Alma, Ida, Anne, Hazel, Ruth, Laura and others were named. Good job Jeanette, Joan, Doris, MJ, Betty, Edna, Val and Joan. Next Sunday we look forward to the costumes of the Bible led by Cathy Goetz and the children. Autumn is a time of transition - the mind moving from warm to cold and from summer to Christmas so each of us has our jobs.
