SECURITY TENANT
The Huron County Housing Corporation
requires a Security Tenant to live on site in a
one bedroom apartment at 400 Alexander St.,
Brussels, Ontario.
Duties
- to be a contact for tenants in a 34 unit
apartment building after regular office hours
in the event of an emergency
- to report emergency situations to the
Housing Corporation staff, lire, police,
ambulance and other contacts as
appropriate to the situation
- to report maintenance problems to
Supervisor •
- reporting violations of the lease agreement
and Illegal acts to Supervisor, Police and any
other appropriate agency
- maintaining general security
- performing light maintenance duties after
normal working hours, such as salting
walkways and changing garbage bags at the
apartment building
- other safety and security duties as required
Qualifications
- ability to deal tactfully with tenants
- ability to make decisions independently
within Housing Corporation guidelines
- ability to perform some lightmaintenance as
required
- ability to communicate verbally and in
writing, to follow written instructions and file
periodic written reports
Remuneration
- a Security Tenant will receive free rent and
basic telephone service each month
• extra compensation will be provided if the
Security Tenant is required to perform duties
outside the scope of the normal Security
Tenant responsibilities

Seeks an experienced, team player in the role of
Accountant
The County of Huron is an upper tier municipality with a
population of approximately 65,000 located on Ontario's West
Coast of Lake Huron. The County blends a vibrant
agricultural base with a dynamic, growing tourism and
industrial base. The strategic location of the County, close to
several major urban centres, makes it an ideal place to do
business, vacation and live.
The County of Huron is looking for an Accountant who will
perform accounting functions and analysis for various
departments of the County. This function would include
month-end and year-end closing and reconciliation
procedures. This position will report to the Manager of
Financial Services in Goderich:
As the successful candidate for this position, you will process
accounts receivable, journal entries, tax sales for
municipalities and perform various day-to-day accounting
functions. You will also record and balance reserve and special
accounts, and assist the Manager of Financial Services as
required. You will be the key contact person for financial
systems consultants.
Your qualifications will include a university degree or college
diploma in business, or a related discipline plus enrollment in
a recognized professional accounting program (CGA, CMA) at
the third level. You should also have the relevant computer
skills to perform the duties of this position.
