ANNE JOSEPHINA VOGELS
Anne Josephina Vogels of RR 2.
Dublin passed away on Saturday.
Sept. 21. 2002. She was in her 80th
year.
The former Anne Josephina Van
Doornik was the wife of the Gerardus
Van Den Oetelaar and the fate Paul
Vogels (1983); and dear mother of
Cinth and his wife Maria of RR2.
Dublin, Dorothy and her husband
Frank Van Steelandt of RR I. Blyth.
Nellie and her husband Tony Van
Bakel of RR I. Blyth. John and his
wife Marie of RRI, Fullarton and
Paul and his wife Marian of RR2.
Kippen. She is also survived by 17
grandchildren, five great-grandchil-
dren and two brothers John and his
wife Catherine Van Doornik of
Seaforth and Antoon and his wife An
Van Doomik of Netherlands.
She was predeceased by one grand-
son Dann Van Bakel (2002).
The family received friend:. at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Horn'', 87
Goderich St. W.. Seaforth on Monday
from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass
of the Christian burial was held on
Tuesday, Sept. 24. at St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church, Dublin at
11 a.m.
Interment was in St. Columban
Cemetery, St. Columban.
Expressions of sympathy may be
made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or the charity of one's
choice.
BARBARA JEAN WALSH
Barbara Jean (Holland) Walsh of
Tillsonburg and formerly of Blyth
passed away at London Health
Sciences Centre Victoria campus on
Thursday. Sept. 19, 2002. She was in
her 62nd year.
Mrs. Walsh was horn in Seaforth
on Nov. 9. 1940 and was the daughter
of the late Moody and Mary (Moon)
Holland.
Mrs. Walsh was a teachers' assis-
tant at .the Blyth Public School. She
was the beloved wife of Larry Walsh
of Tillsonburg and loving mother of
Susan Walsh and her husband
Rodney Dobson of RRS, Clinton. She
was the cherished nana of Kaylie and
Marissa Dobson and dear daughter-
in-law of Mrs. Audrey Walsh of
Clinton. She was the dear sister and
sister-in-law of Valerie and Howard
McKay of Barrie, Ronald and Doreen
Walsh of North Bay. Marlene and
Daniel Burns of Mississauga. Mrs.
Walsh is survived by several nieces
and nephews. She was the special
The Maitland Conservation
Foundation is hosting the second
tree planting ceremony at the
Memorial Forest being developed at
George Taylor Conservation Area.
The brief ceremony will take place
on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m.
The Memorial Forest is a program
being supported by the Foundation
in partnership with the Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority. The
Foundation is a registered, charita-
ble, non-profit organization that
funds conservation and environmen-
tal projects in the Maitland water-
shed.
The Memorial Forest was official-
ly opened in September of 2000 with
a celebration ceremony. Trees were
planted around the perimeter of the
property in 1999 and in the spring of
2000, hedgerows were planted and
niece of Olive Heels of Toronto.
Mrs. Walsh was predeceased by her
parents and one brother-in-law

Friends were received at the Blyth
Visitation Centre of the Beattie-
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 407
Queen St., Blyth on Friday from 6 - 9
p.m. where the funeral service was
held Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m.
Interment was in Blyth Union
Cemetery. Rev. Cecil Wittich officiat-
ed.
Flowerbearers were her grand-
daughters Kaylie and Marissa
Dobson.
Pallbearers were Howard McKay,
Jeremy McKay. Corrie Walsh,
Tammy Hamilton. Jason Walsh and
Adam Hamilton.

These plantings wilt form the bor-
ders of several forest groves that are
planned for the conservation area.
The Memorial Forest program
gives donors the opportunity to cre-
ate a living memorial. The Maitland
Conservation Foundation will plant
a tree in the Memorial Forest upon
receipt of a $50 donation. A memori-
al certificate in the name of the
donor will also be sent to the
bereaved family.
Individual trees are not identified
with names, however permanent
records of all names are kept at the
Maitland Valley Conservation
Authority office.
Signs will also be erected at
George Taylor Conservation Area
which will include the names of
those who have had a tree planted in
Donations to the Ontario Heart and
Stroke Foundation or to the charity of
one's choice would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.
STANLEY EDWARD "NED"
RUTLEDGE
Stanley Edward "Ned" Rutledge of
Braemar Retirement Home,
Wingham and formerly of Brussels,
passed away at Wingham and District
Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 18,
2002. Born in Brussels on Oct. 5,
1916 Ned was in his 86th year.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Kay (Durst) Rutledge and dear
father of Brian Rutledge and his wife
Marlene of Brussels and Terry
Rutledge and his wife Brenda of
RRI, Auburn. He was also loved by
his grandchildren Dean and Diane
their memory or in celebration of a
birthday and/or birth.
The ceremony on Saturday will
feature remarks by Mr. Duncan,
chairman of the Maitland
Conservation Foundation. Rev.
Cathrine Campbell from the
Presbyterian Church in Brussels will
also be participating.
Refreshments will be served after
the tree planting.
Donors to the Memorial Forest
have been invited to the ceremony
along with the families of people for
whom donations have been made.
Anyone who is interested in the
Memorial Forest is also welcome to
attend.
George Taylor Conservation Area
is located south of Walton, on
Canada Company Rd. just west of
County Rd. 12.
Rutledge, Marty and Kathy Rutledge,
Bobbi Jo Rutledge, Shawn and
Jordan Rutledge, Jason Rutledge and
Courtney Rutledge; eight great-
grandchildren Tyler, Jordan, Amanda,
Matthew, Jacob, Megan, Jasmine and
Colton and many nieces and
nephews.
Mr. Rutledge was predeceased by
his infant son Randy, brother Jack
and sisters Lila, Noreen and Dorothy.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends were received by the fami-
ly from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday
at the Schimanski Family Funeral
Home, 401 Albert St., Brussels,
where the memorial service was con-
ducted on Friday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
with Rev. Cathrine Campbell of
Melville Presbyterian Church offici-
ating.
Interment of cremated remains was
in Brussels Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Canadian Diabetes Association or
to the charity of one's choice.
