Seeks a dynamic, results oriented leader as
Chief Administrative Officer
The County of Huron is an upper tier municipality with a
population of approximately 65,000 located on Ontario's West
Coast of Lake Huron. The County blends a vibrant
agricultural base with a dynamic, growing tourism and
industrial base. The strategic location of the County, close to
several major urban centres, makes it an ideal place to do
business, vacation and live.
The County of Huron is looking for a corporate Chief
Administrative Officer who will direct all administrative
services, operations and programs of the County of Huron
within the directions of County Council. As the successful
candidate you will serve as the corporate "chief of staff' for
strategic planning, communications and statutory
responsibilities of the County.
As an accomplished administrator you encourage best
practices that will maximize resource allocation, provide
support and advice to Council, committees and the Warden,
and manage effectively the diverse operations of the County
within approved budgets. You will also represent the County
in relations with other levels of government.
You will utilize your excellent communication skills to foster
inclusion, cooperation and loyalty among all employees. Your
qualifications will include a university degree in public or
business administration or a related field that will add value
to your role with the County of Huron.
County Engineer
The County of Huron is an upper tier municipality with a

business, vacation and live.
The County of Huron is looking for a County Engineer who
will direct the overall operation of the County of Huron's
Highways Department, as well as the Ambulance Services at
this time. This position will report to the Chief
Administrative Officer and to County Council through the
CAO and committees. The County Engineer will manage the
planning, design, construction and maintenance of the
County Road system, through co-operative interaction and
leadership of staff. The County Engineer will maintain
appropriate communication and liaison with the ministry
personnel, contractors, consultants and representatives of
other municipalities.
As an experienced engineer you will ensure that the County
road system meets recognized professional engineering
standards within County policy, guidelines and direction, and
within approved budgets. You will utilize your excellent
communication skills to foster inclusion, cooperation and
loyalty among all employees.
Your qualifications will include an Engineering Degree,
preferably in Civil Engineering, from a recognized university,
membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of
Ontario, and at least 10 years experience in road design,
construction and maintenance.
