Agriculture Brussels Livestock report Stockers under 400 lbs. sell for $114 to $151 Total receipts for the Brussels Livestock for the week ending Sept. 13 were 2,803 head of cattle, 531 lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed steers and heifers sold on a steady market. The cows sold at prices $1 to $2 lower. On Thursday the veal sold at prices $2 to $3 higher while the lambs traded steady on a lower demand. On Friday the steer calves sold at prices $2 to $5 lower. The heifer calves sold at steady prices. The yearlings traded at prices steady with last week. There were 407 steers on offer selling from $94 to $98 with sales to $110. Harold Carroll, Wardsville, consigned two limousin steers averaging 1,408 lbs. which sold to Norwich Packers for $110. His overall consignment of thirty-seven steers averaged 1,337 lbs. selling for an average price of $99.25. One limousin steer consigned by Bill Scott, Harriston, weighed 1,215 lbs. which sold to Dominion Meats for $109. His overall offering of seven steers averaged 1,234 lbs. selling for an average of $94.01.
