The kids' antique garden tractor pull is an
event which keeps the next generation
involved and interested in the past.
Started five years ago, it is enticing the
grandchildren and great-grandchildren of
some of those original threshers to come out
for the three-day event.
Organized by Edgar Daer of East
Wawanosh Twp., the tractor pull is geared to
children between the ages of eight and 15
who would like to follow in the footsteps of
those who pull with full-sized machines.
Though involved in the adult tractor pull
for years, Daer said it was his grandson
Cody's interest that encouraged him to
suggest the junior pull to Thresher
organizers. COdy has been involved for a few
years and has begun to win competitions.
