I and 2 in Colborne Ward. The proposal was to change the lots from development to village residential-low density-special zones to permit one residence and accessory buildings on the 4.6 hectares. It was agreed that a decision of the rezoning would be deferred until conditions of the planning department were met. Council received letters of concern from Maitlandview Estates residents regarding the recently- approved water rate increases. There was to be a substantial increase due to the system running a deficit. Administrator/Clerk- Treasure Mark Becker was to respond, with letters, to the individual concerns Council received a letter of appeal from Ken Leddy regarding the Cook-Leddy municipal drain. A verbal report was given regarding a meeting with Ken .Alton and a catch basin on the Lane municipal drain. It was agreed the catch basin is not acceptable and a blowout already exists on the drain. The drainage superintendent will correct problems. He will also contact the individual who is dumping rocks on the berm along the lint fence. After an on-site meeting at the Miller-Alton municipal drain by Reeve Ben Van Diepenbeek, Deputy-Reeve Neil Rintoul, Public Works Superintendent Kevin Cook and engineer Andy McBride, it was agreed the list of deficiencies would be corrected. Approval was given to the payment of general accounts in the amount of $346,455.52: Iluronia Welding, $47.01 and Ashfield Service Centre, $92.
