NEWS
FROM BLYTH
The winner of the July 26, 125th
calendar draw this week was Neil
Elliott, Mt. Brydges.
My apologies to the lawn bowling
club in not reporting the winning
scores of last week, so here they are
along with this week's. July 15 high
score was Joel Thorns, and Jim
Wilson was the high score on July
18. The high score this past week,
July 25, was Joel Thomas. July 23
games were rained out so everyone
people registered and enjoyed a
chicken dinner. Tributes were read
for those not able to attend mainly
Dorothy Taylor and Harriett Taylor
Epperson.
The afternoon was spent on tours,
taking pictures. Youngsters played
soccer and Frisbee. Later a tree was
planted by Boyd and Bill Epperson,
sons of Harriett Epperson to
commemorate the founding of
Orchill.
Once again there was a cake
decorated with a log cabin and all
the farm animals. Supper was at 5
p.m. then everyone was off to a
beach party on Lake Huron.
Sundays began with a church
service at St. James Middleton — a
box lunch was served on the lawn of
the church.
The Blyth Christian
Reformed Church
would like to
invite you to join
us for an

Please bring your lawn

Marilyn and Don Craig spent the
very hot weekend with Verna and
John Evans of Sarnia, Marilyn's
aunt and uncle.
The weekend is fast approaching
and there is much work to be done.
Come out to our celebrations, have a
good time and make this 125th a
weekend to remember.
Greeting at Blyth United Church
on Sunday, July 28 were 011ie and
Bodie Craig. Guest minister was

musician was Lynda Lentz-

Rev. Wittich gave each one of the
children a prayer and told them how

His message to the adults was
entitled, Forward in Faith. He
related some of his family
experiences to the congregation and
how, through faith and love of God,
they were able to carry on.
