Morris-Turnberry
discusses
zoning
amendment
During the July 16 se :sion of
Morris-Turnberry council, a public
meeting was held to discuss a zoning
amendment for North Half Lot 16,
Conc. 4 (Cardiff Rd.).,Morris Ward.
It was proposed to change the
zoning from .general agriculture to
agriculture small holding-special
provisions. The special provision
limits the existing barn and the
subject property to two animal units
per acre. The area affected is
approximately 3.46 acres.
There were questions from the
gallery regarding surpluS residences,
drainage and fencing.
Councillor Neil Warwick asked if
the animal units were consistent with
the nutrient management bylaw.
However, because the application
was submitted prior to the new
bylaw the two units would apply.
Pending the 20-day appeal period.
council passed a bylaw to allow the
zoning amendment.
A motion was passed accepting the
drainage plan I'm Lot 2. Conc. 5.
Morris Ward. No storm management
plan was required. The zoning
amendment for the part lot will also
proceed. It will change from general
agriculture to village residential.
A bylaw was passed to permit the
purchase of land from Ross and
Dianne G011 for the municipal
purpose of a public highway.
A drain repair request from Blyth
Creek. Lot 8. Conc. 9. Morris Ward
was withdrawn.
Council approved payment of the
police invoice in the amount ($f
$24.865.35.
