ONTARIO EARLY YEARS
PROGRAM STAFF
The Township of North Huron requires two energetic individuals
to fill two positions to deliver the Early Years program. The
program will be delivered from the Wingham Children's Centre
and will target children from 0 to 6 years of age and their families
and caregivers. Early Years services will be provided to
communities in North Huron Township and outreach services to
Bruce County communities.
This is a one year contract position renewable on an annual
basis. Hours will be flexible as candidate will be required to work
some evenings and/or Saturdays. Must provide own
transportation for work related travel.
Qualifications should include a secondary education in a related
field such as early childhood education, child development,
primary school teaching, health promotion, community
development and adult education.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills are
essential. Skills and experience working with a variety of groups
would be an asset.

Huronview and Huronlea Homes for the Aged are municipal
homes administered by the County of Huron. Located in

Food and Environmental Services
Director (Full Time)
Responsibilities include development and implementation
of a cycle menu to meet resident's nutritional needs,
preparation and administration of departmental budget;
management of supervisors and dietary, laundry and
housekeeping staff; responsible for all housekeeping and
laundry services of the homes; development of department
goals, policies and procedures; developing and maintaining
optimal working relationships with the management team,
staff, and residents of the homes.
Qualifications for this position include a University degree
at the Bachelor's level in Foods and Nutrition, Food
Management, or equivalent, and successful completion of a
Dietetic Internship at a recognized institution. Candidates
should have minimum of two years management experience
in a Health Care setting, with preference given to long-term
care experience. As well, candidates must be a member in
good standing of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and
Dietitians of Canada. Effective communication skills and
ability to relate to peers and seniors in a long-term care
facility is a requirement of this position.
Salary range: $25.66 to $30.20 per hour plus County
benefit plan.
