And Take Notice that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, not later that the 6th day of August, 2002, at 4 pm, a notice of appeal setting out the objection, accompanied by payment of the fee prescribed under the Ontario Municipal Board Act. Amount of fee -payable on appeal is $125.00 with a cheque made payable to the "Minister of Finance". Purpose: The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law amendment is to amend Zoning By-law 22-1989 for the former Township of Morris, now a Ward of the Municipality of Morris- Turnberry. This zoning by-law amendment is regarding requirements recommended to be incorporated at the time of considering a new model Nutrient Management By-law. 1. Manure Storage facilities are included in the definition of structure. 2. The current minimum distance separation formula for barn expansions allows for a reduced distance factor. The new provision would not allow this reduced distance factor where barns have been built or expanded within a three year period. 3. Reference is made in the AG1 zone to municipal and provincial manure management requirements. 4. Reference is made in the AG2 zone to municipal and provincial manure management requirements. 5. As a general amendment to the Morris Township Zoning By- law this amendment applies to all lands within the Morris Ward (former Township of Morris), Municipality of Morris- Turnberry. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 2002. Monday, July 8 the Brussels Midgets travelled to play Crediton #2. Amy Douma started on the mound for Brussels. Douma had two strikeouts then Lesley Pepper came in to relieve with four. Stacey Bowles went three for three at the plate. Cassie Fischer, Catrina Josling, Julie Moffat and Katie Aitchison all added timely singles. Brussels went Oil to win the game 12-8. On Wednesday, July 10, the Midgets travelled to Cromarty to play Hibbert. Bowles had pitching duty for the Brussels squad. The Midgets played a great game in the field despite having only eight players. Timely plays were made by Candice Ross, Moffat and Jenna Fischer. Douma hit a home-run in the second inning for Brussels to take a lead 2-1. Hibbert scored a run in the third and fourth then hits by Cassie Fischer, Bowles, Ross. Josling and Jenna Fischer put Brussels ahead 4- 3. Hibbert led off in the final inning with a double followed by a single to score a run. Jenna Fischer made a double play to get the girls out of the inning and leaving the game tied 4- 4. On Sunuay, July 14 Brussels played at, home to Shakespeare. Bowles started on the mound with one strikeout. Pepper came in 'to relieve in the fourth and got four strikeouts. The Midgets gave up a run in the U-7s edge Howick 3-2 The Brussels U-7 squad earned a win July 2. topping Howick 2 by a score of 3-2. The U-9 team was handed a victory when Wallace 2 had to forfeit the game due to an insufficient number of players. Newton 1 trounced the Brussels U-13 team, capturing a decisive 11- 0 win. The U-l5s replayed a game against Newton from June 17 and were doubled 4-2 by their opponent. PeeWees trounce opponent The Hullett PeeWees out-hit Sebringville when the two teams met on the diamond, July 9. Eric Radford tallied the lone run- for Blyth in the top of the first, only to see Sebringville even the score in the bottom. Blyth tacked on six in the second when runs were scored by Radford, Robert Thompson, Terry Radford, Derek Dolmage and Eric Caldwell. Darcey Cook made a huge contribution by smacking a homerun. T. Radford and Dolmage hit the plate in the third and Cook came home in the fourth. Cook, while on the pitcher's mound, also held the opponent scoreless until the fifth when Sebringville pushed one run home. Cook had12 strikeouts in his six innings pitched. Hullett captured the 10-2 victory. Thunder wins The Blyth Mosquito Thunder travelled to Lucknow for a game. July 11. The visitors took the early lead off goals by Dayid Karhu and Adam Young. . Lucknow pulled to within one after tallying a score on a penalty shot. Goaltending for Blyth was Regal Good. Sports first inning and another in the third. These would be the only runs to cross the plate. Brussels had runners in scoring position but were unable to score. Nicole Bernard led off in the fourth with a solo triple. Brussels continued to load the bases but was unable to cross the plate. The final score was 2-0 for Shakespeare. Brussels played Hensall Monday, July 15 and will be home again on Sunday, July 21 at 8 p.m. to play Crediton #1. The girls will travel to St. Pauls on Monday, July 22.
