THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 10, 2002. PAGE 9.
FROM AUBURN
Special service
at Ball's
At 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 a
memorial service was held at Ball's
Cemetery chapel with a good
attendance. Jim Craig piped to open
the service and the speaker Gabriel
Del Bianco welcomed . all for the
worship service.
The organist, Margaret Kai,
Wingham and the choir led the
congregation in Guide Me 0 Thou
Great Jehovah, followed by prayer.
Scripture was read from Romans 8.
Nothing can separate anyone from
God's love. Psalm 62 was given
responsively. God is our refuge.
The second scripture was from
Mark 4. In this Jesus is on the boat. A
severe storm arises yet he sleeps on.
The disciples are worried and
awaken Christ, who asks, Why they
are fearful.
A recording On Holy Ground was
given and the speaker spoke on the
need to trust and have faith in God's
love and word. In times of joy and
sorrow people must still obey and
follow Christ's teachings.
The offertory hymn was Courage,
Conflict and Victory.
A moment of silence was held in
memory of loved ones who have
passed away.
The Lord Is My Shepherd was
sung. Mr. Del Bianco gave a final
blessing.
Mr. Craig then piped out the
inspired congregation.
Len and Betty Archambault
attended the graduation of their
granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth
Parker (daughter of Don and Brenda
Parker) who received highest
honours from Seneca College and
York University on June 26. This
was held at the Toronto Centre of
Arts. Amy was the valedictorian and
also received two scholarships.
Auburnites attended the Dining
Out meeting at the Anglican Church,
Blyth on July 5. As usual they
enjoyed a delicious dinner and the
strawberry shortcake was really
special.
The guest speaker was Paul
Steckle who spoke on Canada. We
should all be proud to be Canadian,
a member of this beautiful and vast
country.

yesterday you were a wide-
eyed little girl heading off for
her very first day of school ...
And somehow ... almost
magically ... between then
and now, that little girl has
grown into a beautiful young
woman! With love and pride,
on your graduation day and
always, for a beautiful
daughter and friend.
CONGRATULATIONS! Mom,
Dad, Brendan, Chip, Granny
& Uncle Paul.
