Supertramp at Watershed

There will be a lot of singing and
dancing in the Henry household this
summer as both Ally, 3, and
Mikayla, 5, participate in plays at
the Blyth Festival.
The girls. daughters of Mike and
Sandy Henry of Blyth, will be tak-
ing to the stage in Goodbye,
Piccadilly and The Outdoor
Donnellys, respectively.
Mikayla is currently performing
as one of the Irish dancers at a wed-
ding ceremony during The Outdoor
Donnellys,-staged in the lower halt
of Memorial Hall. She is also the
stand-in for her little sister in
Goodbye. Piccadilly.
Ally, in her plays, appears late in
the show as the adopted child, tenta-
tively named Nadia. Having attend-
ed her first rehearsal last week, Ally
says she likes it, as she practises her
lines of "yuk" and "yeh".
She appears to love music and
dance as well and gets quite animat-
ed as she cheerfully explains how
the other actors dance around her
during the performance.
She is also very pleased with the
costume she gets to wear, as the
dress is orange and pink with spark-
ly flowers and is topped off with a
sun hat, sunglasses, sandals and
apparently, lots of smiles.
Ally got the call to appear in the
play when Festival Artist Director
Anne Chislett and show director
Diana Belshaw were looking for a
young girl around four-years old.
"We just got asked," says mom
Sandy.
