Graduation Curtis Mutter, son of Paul and Barb Mutter of Brussels, graduated with Honours on June 13th from the College of Physical and Engineering Sciences at the University of Guelph. Curtis was presented with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Computing and Information Sciences, Honours Program, in response to his hard work and dedication over the past 4 years. He has accepted a position with Inscriber Technologies in Water:oo, Ontario. Congratulations Curtis on this significant achievement, we wish you all the best in the future. PAGE 11. Mabel's Moms met at their regular time on Wednesday, June 19. Those who attended were Linda Hess and Judith; Lila Procter and Jessica; Crystal Agombar, Nicholas and Gage; Melissa Coultes and Alex; Donna Raynard, Curtis and Craig. Their topic was Bargain Shopping. On Saturday, June 15 Ross and Barbara Anderson and Freda Johnston attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Murray and Audrey Lougheed at Singhampton Community Centre. Note: The over-80 birthday party was reported but with an incorrect date. It will be held July 31 at 2 p.m. in the basement of the United Church, Belgrave. Helen Wilson of London and Robert Thompson of Wingham visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Betty Irwin. 15 members and eight guests. The program convenor Dorothy Coultes introduced Ashley and Laura Higgins who each did a tap- dancing number. The speaker was Bethanee Jensen who talked of her business, The Shepherd's Fold, located just east of Belgrave. Bethanee grew up on a farm but started in the workforce as an accountant. Soon she was able to start sheep farming on a 34-acre farm and took a sheep management course, starting with Suffolks. Later she decided that Dorsets were a better breed for her and she moved to her present location. She received a lot of help from local farmers in the beginning and is now able to help others in return. She has taught 4-H clubs and is now president of the Ontario Lamb Producers. She had sheepskin rugs and woolen blankets on display. She also sells meat and breeding stock. During the business meeting the members were reminded of the catering scheduled for July and August. The collection and Pennies for Friendship were gathered. Lunch was served by Norma Moore and Dianna Robinson. Dancing up a storm East Wawanosh students got creative last week when they had an air bands competition during an afternoon assembly. Left Margaret Vincent, Montina Hussey, Ashley Lewis and Staci Dunbar lip sync their way through their chosen number to the delight of the rest of the student body.
