NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT AFFECTING THE MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY (WARD M) TAKE NOTICE that Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. in the Bluevale Community Hall, located at 32 Clyde Street, Bluevale, Ontario, to consider a proposed zoning by-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended. This by-law amends zoning by-law 22-1989 of the former Township of Morris, now a Ward of the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry. This zoning by-law amendment is regarding requirements recommended to be incorporated at the time of considering a new model Nutrient Management By-law. 1. Manure storage facilities are included in the definition of structure. 2. The current minimum distance separation formula for barn expansions allows for a reduced distance factor. The new provision would not allow this reduced distance factor where barns have been built or expanded within a three year period. 3. Reference is made in the AG1 zone to municipal and provincial manure management requirements. 4. Reference is made in the AG2 zone to municipal and provincial manure management requirements. 5. As a general amendment to the Morris Township Zoning By- law this amendment applies to all lands within Ward M (former Township of Morris), Municipality of Morris-Turnberry. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation, either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning by-law amendment. IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files for an appeal of a decision of the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris- Turnberry in respect of the proposed Zoning By-law does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris- Turnberry before the proposed zoning by-law is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2002. Sports With quite a few Brussels ball hockey playeFs missing this past week there was a lot of shuffling to make each team work. Game 'one was the Devils versus the Red Wings. The Devils won 12- 7. Scoring for the Devils were Tyler Deitner with five goals, William King with three goals, and Shea McLean and Zach Watson each with two. Scoring for the Red Wings was Adam Corbett with all seven goals. Game two was the Oilers versus the Senators, with the Oilers winning Register for tourney On Saturday, June 1 the seventh annual Lung Association Golf Tournament will get the 2002 golfing season off to a great start at the Mitchell Golf Club. The shotgun start takes place at 11 a.m. Registration is $80 and includes a day of golf, a choice of barbecued chicken or steak dinner and an item from the prize.table. • Those who have purchased a 2002 Lung Association Golf Privilege Card can apply the enclosed $5 off coupon to their registration fee. Proceeds from the tournament support the many health initiatives of The Lung Association, such as the Asthma Action Program, Breathe Easy and Breathworks, as well as fund vital medical research. Lacrosse begins The new Wingham Bantam Lacrosse team started its season playing against Arthur on May 8. Arthur scored only one goal in the first period. Wingham answered it early in the second with a quick shot from the stick of Jason Hamilton on a pass from Cory Chapman. Arthur went ahead with two more goals in the second and another in the early minutes of the third before Hamilton was able to blast another past the Arthur goalie on a pass from Dickie Gregg. With the small numbers on the Wingham bench, the strong opponents were able to add three more goals before the end of the game. Justin Thompson, playing his first game in net, stopped many shots *o keep the final score at 7-2 for Arthur. The Bantams played against a newly-developed Minto team the following night and the final results were quite different. The skills of the veteran players who had played in North Perth for the past year or two shone through clearly. Starting off the scoring for Wingham was Chapman on a pass from Xavier O'Krafta and C.J. Ashley. Waiting in front of the net paid oft for Jason Kuepfer when Chase Chapman and Brandy McKee set him up for his first goal as a lacrosse player. The Chapman brothers attacked the net one more time in the first period and Cory scored on a pass from Chase in the final seconds. Hamilton scored on a pass from Cory Chapman. Dickie Gregg and Cory McDonald set Cory Chapman. _ up for a hattrick .to end the scoring early in the second period. Hamilton scored midway through the third period on a pass from the goalie, Thompson. Cory Chapman scored an unassisted goal and O'Krafta scored the eighth and final goal of the game on a pass from McKee and Thompson. Both PeeWee and Bantam teams will play their next home game at the North Huron Wescast Community Centre on Wednesday, May 15 at 7 and 8 p.m. 8-5. Scoring for the Oilers were Ryan Smith with two, Taylor Prior with three, Christopher Jutzi with . one and Michelle Cousins with two. Scoring for the Senators were Zach Watson and Christine Bone each with one and Adam Corbett with three. Game three of the night had the Leafs beating the Ducks 9-2. Scoring for the Leafs were Matt White with five goals, Ty Sebastian, Joel Wilkinson, Robert Cochrane and Evan Wilkinson each with one. Scoring for the Ducks was Shea McLean with both goals.
