NOTICE OF PUBLIC

TAKE NOTICE that Council of the Corporation of the Municipality
of Morris-Turnberry will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May
29, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. in the Bluevale Community Hall, located at 32
Clyde Street, Bluevale, Ontario, to consider a proposed zoning
by-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as
amended.
This by-law amends zoning by-law 22-1989 of the former
Township of Morris, now a Ward of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Morris-Turnberry. This zoning by-law amendment
is regarding requirements recommended to be incorporated at the
time of considering a new model Nutrient Management By-law.
1. Manure storage facilities are included in the definition of
structure.
2. The current minimum distance separation formula for barn
expansions allows for a reduced distance factor. The new
provision would not allow this reduced distance factor where
barns have been built or expanded within a three year period.
3. Reference is made in the AG1 zone to municipal and provincial
manure management requirements.
4. Reference is made in the AG2 zone to municipal and provincial
manure management requirements.
5. As a general amendment to the Morris Township Zoning By-
law this amendment applies to all lands within Ward M (former
Township of Morris), Municipality of Morris-Turnberry.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written
or verbal representation, either in support of or in opposition to
the proposed zoning by-law amendment.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files for an appeal of a
decision of the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris-
Turnberry in respect of the proposed Zoning By-law does not
make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written
submissions to the Corporation of the Municipality of Morris-
Turnberry before the proposed zoning by-law is adopted, the
Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed zoning by-
law is available for inspection during regular office hours at the

Lacrosse
begins
The new Wingham Bantam
Lacrosse team started its season
playing against Arthur on May 8.
Arthur scored only one goal in the
first period. Wingham answered it
early in the second with a quick shot
from the stick of Jason Hamilton on
a pass from Cory Chapman.
Arthur went ahead with two more
goals in the second and another in
the early minutes of the third before
Hamilton was able to blast another
past the Arthur goalie on a pass
from Dickie Gregg.
With the small numbers on the
Wingham bench, the strong
opponents were able to add three
more goals before the end of the
game. Justin Thompson, playing his
first game in net, stopped many
shots *o keep the final score at 7-2
for Arthur.
The Bantams played against a
newly-developed Minto team the
following night and the final results
were quite different. The skills of
the veteran players who had played
in North Perth for the past year or
two shone through clearly.
Starting off the scoring for
Wingham was Chapman on a pass
from Xavier O'Krafta and C.J.
Ashley.
Waiting in front of the net paid oft
for Jason Kuepfer when Chase
Chapman and Brandy McKee set
him up for his first goal as a lacrosse
player. The Chapman brothers
attacked the net one more time in
the first period and Cory scored on a
pass from Chase in the final
seconds.
Hamilton scored on a pass from
Cory Chapman. Dickie Gregg and
Cory McDonald set Cory Chapman. _
up for a hattrick .to end the scoring
early in the second period.
Hamilton scored midway through
the third period on a pass from the
goalie, Thompson. Cory Chapman
scored an unassisted goal and
O'Krafta scored the eighth and final
goal of the game on a pass from
McKee and Thompson.
Both PeeWee and Bantam teams
will play their next home game at
the North Huron Wescast
Community Centre on Wednesday,
May 15 at 7 and 8 p.m.
8-5. Scoring for the Oilers were
Ryan Smith with two, Taylor Prior
with three, Christopher Jutzi with .
one and Michelle Cousins with two.

Watson and Christine Bone each
with one and Adam Corbett with
three.
