wear while they're building a ship
out of blocks. They made queenly

At its April 23 meeting Huron
East council discussed a request
from the Maitland Valley
Conservation Authority to have two
municipal employees help with the
Brussels dam. Previous to this time
local farmers had provided some
help. According to Councillor Joe
Seili Brussels works'employees had
also helped add and remove the
heavy timbers at the dam gates.
Councillor Bill Teal! commented
that he wondered if this was the first
step in the dam becoming a
municipal responsibility despite the
fact that the authority received funds
from the province to maintain the
flood control system.
Permission was given after a rider
was attached to the motion
stipulating that the municipality was
to be compensated for the
employee's time.
