Obituaries
J. BRUCE HAHN
Bruce Hahn of Brussels passed
away suddenly at his home April 26,
2002 in his 55th year. He was so
loved by his wife Judy and his chil-
dren, Jay and Stacy.
Bruce is survived by his father,
Ross and his stepmom, Bernice and
four brothers and sisters, Pat and her
husband Larry Brumfield, Brian and
his wife Barb, Mary Lou and her
husband, Jim Alger and Pete and his
wife Ann. He will also be missed by
his mother-in-law Berva Rice and
his brother-in:law Larry Rice and
Larry's significant other Peggy
Lachance. Many nieces and
nephews, great-nieces and nephews
and cousins also mourn his loss.
He was predeceased by his mom,
Ruth and his father-in-law, Jack.
Born in Kitchener-Waterloo,
Bruce has lived in Brussels since
1973 and been an integral part of the
community. He has been a Lions
member for 27 years. He coached
hockey and baseball and he was a
village councillor for many years.
He was on the Brussels Medical
Centre board for 14 years, the last 11
years as chairman. Bruce also served
on the Wingham and District
Hospital board for seven years.
Bruce's involvement in his com-
munity and his kindnesses, large and
small will be remembered and sadly
missed by all who knew him.
There was a private family gather-
ing Sunday, April 28. A memorial
service was held at the Brussels
United Church on Monday, April 29
followed by a gathering at the
BM&G arena auditorium.
Cremation has taken place and
interment will be at a later date.
Donations can be made to the
Canadian Diabetic Association, the
Brussels United Church or the chari-
ty of one's choice.
Arrangements were entrusted to
the Schimanski Family Funeral
Home, Brussels.
ANTJE HAMMING
Mrs. Antje (Bakker) Hamming of
Grimsby, and formerly of Auburn,
passed away in Grimsby on April 24,
2002 in her 96th year.
Mrs. Hamming was born in
Holland. She had four brothers, one
of them her twin and one sister. She
married Pieter in 1938 and had five
children.
In 1951 they immigrated to
Canada where they farmed in
Wellandport, later in Dunnville and
retired in Auburn. They spent their
last few years in Shalom Manor in
Grimsby.
Antje loved to play and sing the
old familiar hymns on her organ. She
gave of herself constantly to family
and friends. The beloved wife of
Pieter Hamming was the dear moth-
er of Kor and Grace Hamming of
Kitchener, Marenie and Warner
Koiter, Strathroy, Tina and Gerrie
This year, the Heart and Stroke
Foundation marks 50 years of set-
ting the fundraising pace for life-
saving heart and stroke research in
Ontario.
From establishing the world's first
coronary care unit, to identifying the
effects of ASA, to developing new
technologies to detect stroke, the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Ontario has been a critical player on
the international research stage since
its inception in April 1952.
"In 2002, the Foundation is mark-

Blyth Christian Reformed Church on
Friday, April 26 at 2 p.m. Visitation
was held one hour prior. Rev. J. W.

Interment was in Hope Chapel
Cemetery, Hullett Twp.
Pallbearers were grandsons Kieth
Hamming, Richard Hamming, Nick
Koiter, Neil Kromhout, Ian Jongema
and Stephan Szeker.

would be appreciated as expressions

MARY ROSANNA TRICK
Mrs. Mary Rosanna (Grigg) Trick
of Clinton passed away at Restview
Home on Saturday, April 27, 2002.
She was in her 89th year.

Twp. on Aug. 12, 1913 and was the
daughter of the late Rueben and
Reatha (Stevens) Grigg. Mrs. Trick
married her husband Elmer in 1937
and farmed in Goderich Twp. until
they retired to Clinton in 1969. Mrs.
Trick was a member of the Ontario
Street United Church and the
Huronic Rebekah Lodge No. 306.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Charles "Elmer" Trick who pre-
deceased her in 2001. She was the
loving mother of William and Thea
Trick of RR3, Clinton and Robert
and Sylvia Trick of RR1,
Londesborough. She was also loved
and will be sadly missed by four
grandchildren, Julia Trick-Fountain
and Cory Fountain of Dallas, Texas,
Thomas and Cherilyne Trick of Red
Lake, Ontario, William Trick of
Toronto, and Karen Trick and fiancé,
Henry Haderlein of Kitchener. She
was also loved by one great-grand-
child Adam Fountain. She was the
dear sister and sister-in-law of
William and Mary Grigg of Clinton,
Bee Cooke of Clinton, Laura Grigg
of the collective effort and achieve-
ment of our valued volunteers and
supporters. We simply cannot do it
without them."
The Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario's mission is to reduce the
risk of heart disease and stroke by
raising funds for research and health
promotion. Volunteers, donors and
community supporters are critical to
reaching this goal and the
Foundation is proud to celebrate
their extraordinary achievement dur-
ing its 50th anniversary year.

Interment was in Clinton
Cemetery. Rev. Robert Biggar offici-
ated.

Trick,- Thomas Trick and Cory
Fountain.
