Senior 4-H members from Ontario who attended were: ,Erica Bontje Thorndale; Richard Deathe, Bolton; Erica Levy, St. Marys; Jennifer Lichty, Wellesley; Lori Powell, Port Perry; and Brendan Zettler, Teeswater. Cheryl McLachlan, London, was the chaperone for the Ontario delegates. Delegates toured Parliament Hill and the Supreme Court participated in debating on topical issues and met their Member of Parliament. The highlight for many was sitting in the prime minister's chair in his office and in the House of Parliament. As an informal educational program, 4-H helps young people 10 to 21 years of age to develop personal skills while learning about a topic of interest to them. In 2001, over 7,000 members and 1,600 volunteers took part in oyer 1,200 clubs across Ontario. To learn more, about the 4-H program, visit the web site at www.4- hontario.ca or call the 4-H Ontario office at 1-877-410-6748. Continued from page 1 suggested, "We will only address the issue of overtime by pre-approving each case." Public Works Co-ordinator John Forest requested council not take any action about the current situation until he had received employee input. He said, "We want to go back to the employees to work out a policy so they are happy with it." Forest indicated a meeting .hair been scheduled for later in the Week He noted the two foremen with the largest number of hours had already agreed to a plan, which would substantially reduce their banked overtime prior to the next winter season. This would involve the individuals taking a minimum of 10 hours a week of lieu-time. Forest was directed to report back to council on plans for reducing the accumulated overtime hours. He was also told to develop measures to -prevent a re-occurrence of the problem. 1.4.,./$1 3 ,S1 ff
