AAA Midgets finish fifth
The Brussels ball hockey league
had another great night on Thursday
with three very close games.
In game one the Redwings took on
the Ducks. With back and forth
action for the whole game this ended
in a 7-7 tie.
Scoring for the Redwings were
Joel Wilkinson and Mitch Blake
each with one, Ryan Sholdice with
two and Robert Cochrane with a
hattrick. Scoring for the Ducks were
Derek Wood and Shea McLean each
with one, Cody Subject with two and
Adam McClure with the hattrick.
Game two of the night saw a little
less scoring but still great action with
the Leafs beating the Senators 6-2.
Scoring for the Leafs with two goals
each were Ty Sebastian, Matt White
and Chris Corbett. Scoring for' the
Senators were Zach Horne and
Gavin Bowers.
Game three was a great game to
watch with a big win for the Oilers.
After the trouncing the Leafs gave
them last week they won 6-4 against
the Devils.
Scoting for the Oilers were
Christopher Jutzi and Ryan Smith
with two goals each and Adam
Cousins and Taylor Prior each
getting a single. Scoring for the
Devils were William King with one
and Matt McClinchey with a
hattrick.
The Huron Hawks AAA Midget
team participated in its first
tournament of the spring, April 26-
28 at the 14th annual Bluewater
Sharks' Chemical Valley Series in
Sarnia.
There were a total of 18 AAA
Midget teem taking part in the
three-day tournament. The team
finished fifth in its division, out of
nine teams, just missing out on the
playoff round on Sunday..
The team got off to a slow start on
Friday with losses to the Lansing
Capital Pride, and the Ann Arbor
Wolverines. Saturday, the team
bounced back with a win over the
Canton Crush and a tie with the
Bluewater Sharks.
Golf season is finally here and a
summer's worth of golf is yours to

throughout the entire 2002 golfing

This is the 10th year that The Lung
Association, Huron-Perth has raised
funds through the sale of" Golf
Privilege Cards. Monies raised
support Lung Association health
initiatives, such as the Asthma
Action Program, Breathe Easy and
BreathWorks, as wet! as help fund
vital medical research into
respiratory disease.
The Hawks lost to the Capital
Pride 6-4 Friday, after getting
behind 4-0 early in the second
period. Scoring for the Hawks were
Joe Nesbitt, Mark Stirling, Tyler
Campbell, and Greg McGrath.
Assisting on Campbell's goal was
Stirling.
Matt Dalton was in goal for the
Hawks. In their second game Friday
at the home of the Sarnia Sting, the
Hawks were handed a 5-1 setback
by the Wolverines. Scoring the only
goal was Stirling, with the assist
going to Scott McDonald.
Dalton again handled the
goaltending duties making 35 saves.
Saturday morning the team built
up a 5-0 lead on their way to a 5-1

The Hawks spoiled the Sharks'
chances at a perfect round robin
record with a 2-2 tie Saturday
afternoon. Scoring both goals was
Shawn Walker. Assists went to
Nesbitt, and Chris Blake. Recording
the tie in goal was Matt Rehorst.
The next tournament for the team
is this weekend, May 3-5, in
Scarborough.
