Baptisms at Duff's United
It was a wonderful sight to see
Duff's United pews filled. The
junior choir of Cassandra Banks,
and Bethany and Laura Black, sang
There'll Be Sunshine in the
Morning.
The Clerk of Session, Leona
McDonald, read the names of the
children to be presented for baptism.
Reagan Nicole, daughter of
Cameron and Donna Blair, the
granddaughter of Lavern and
Marion Godkin; had many of her
aunts and uncles and cousins
watching her being baptized. They
gathered at Lavern and Marion's for
a family lunch and social time after
church. Mackenzie Jean, daughter of
Robert and Sandra Sangster, and
Jackson William, son of Murray
Sholdice and Janice Gregory, are the
grandchildren of the late Mack and
Dorothy Sholdice. They had many
of their family members attending,
with special guest great-grandma
Jean Keyes of Seaforth. They were
all 'invited to Sandra's home in
Seaforth for lunch and a social time.

The week started off at the
Brussels Legion with a meeting
upstairs hosted by Brussels Agri-
Services. It dealt with getting horses
ready for spring.
Feeding, nutrition and
horseshoeing were topics addressed
by guest speakers.
Thursday night darts had only a
small crowd out as the good weather
must have enticed people to be at
home.
Friday night's supper of pork
chops was enjoyed by a good crowd.
This week's menu includes meat
loaf and broasted potatoes.
The Huron County double darts

the Taylor's home for lunch and the
afternoon.
Following the sacrament of
baptism the regular service
continued with Jim Cook as the
scripture reader. Joan Tuchlinsky's
reflection, Learning the Shepherd's
Voice, concerned how a faith
community must strive to hear the
Lord's voice. The earliest images of
Christ, depicted him as a shepherd,
and Christians would know his voice
and follow him in God's love.
Parents and a church congregation,
through the baptismal vows,
promise to help children grow in
faith and to listen for God's voice.
The choir sang the anthem Oh
God of Life. The offering was taken
by Ross Bennett and Jim Mann.
