The chatting, the stories and the laughter all were things that Doreen enjoyed most with others and so we did it right as we remembered her role in our lives. It was good to tell the stories of our past. The Callander Nursing Home stories again gave us much joy and giggles. Then we got the call that Donald Jenkins (my mom's brother) from Bayfield had died. suddenly as well. This was a family reunion. Stories of the past again celebrated a life well lived. Uncle Donald was a retired. engineer and so our goodbyes were fun and efficient. Nice touch the Laura Secord chocolate as a nibbler. So as much as I'm a little sad right now that these two nice folks are gone from my life I'm so pleased to have been part of their lives in the past giving me great memories to share. So thanks Doreen and Donald for letting me (and many others) share and celebrate your lives. There is a party at Sholdice Insurance on Friday. Doug and staff are giving Mary Bone a good sendoff to retirement. On April 19 the insurance world is saying Thanks to Mary for 29 years -in the business. Along the way she adjusted her work to become a registered broker and used the computer as her office assistant as she moved to working with Doug Sholdice. , So be sure to drop in to the main street office on Friday to say thanks and congratulations. Welcome to a more relaxed lifestyle Mary. Come to the United Church on Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. to support the youth group.
