"The Crown did not renege on any pre-trial agreement. note that the seven days he got the first time is highly unusual. But the function of this court is that justice is administered equally to one and all." Asked his feelings, Morris said he was obliged to contin- ue the joint submission for a monetary penalty that Cameron had set out. After further consideration, Hunter fined Good $1,500, more than double what he would have been fined in a first offence in Huron. Good's licence has been suspended for two years. At the March 18 meeting, council considered a letter which complained about the use of residential land for commercial purposes by the business, about litter and problems with trailers and skids parked in the area. Clerk-Administrator John Stewart said after speaking with the individuals he brought their concerns to the attention of Chief Building Official Byron Ellis who looked into the matter. Ellis reported to council that since the complaint the property standards concerns have been cleaned up, though there are still dumpsters located across the road, which don't belong there, he said. Also, he said, the Co-op is planning to erect a greenhouse officer noted signs of impair- ment. Breathalizer readings were 160 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He was fined $750 and had his licence suspended for one year. He was given six months to pay the fine. Probation breach In unrelated incidents two men pled guilty to breaching probation orders made when they were young offenders. For this reason they cannot be identified. The first, who is now 19, was sentenced to 30 days in jail. The second, who is now 18, received a $260 fine. on property currently zoned residential. Ellis explained that currently the municipality has not required a building permit for greenhouses, but under the Building Code Act it is required. Councillor Jim Campbell spoke of other greenhouses being erected within the town- ship and stated that he thought it was time council did some- thing about it. "We need to seriously look at this," he said." Stewart cautioned that whatever decision council came to, they would need to treat the entire municipality equally. Ellis is preparing a report to bring to council about green- houses.
