Time for
Women's Day Out
Life's a Spring Bouquet.
This is the theme for the eighth
annual Women's Day Out, sponsored
by the Blyth United Church Women,
to be held on Saturday, April 6 from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blyth
Memorial Hall and the Bainton Art
Gallery.
The day is for women of all ages to
enjoy and reflect upon life's bouquet.
The guest motivational speaker is
Roger McComb from Woodstock,
with the topic Arranging Your
Bouquet with Laughter. His story is
one of inspiration.
• Learn to make a spring bouquet
using fresh flowers from Luann's
Country Flowers. Refresh your face
and body with a new took, with
Marlene from Mary Kay. Speakers
and displays of the Huron County
Health Unit and the community food
advisors will supply you with healthy
choices to get you in shape for
spring.
Shirley and Brenda will help you
create a beautiful yard from Beyond
the Garden Path. New this year is
The Pampered Chef with many new
ideas for creative cooking.
Once again the smorgasbord
luncheon will be featured.
In the afternoon, there will be a
fashion show featuring Black Creek
Clothing, Optionelle, a line of
cl6thing for home parties and new
this year men's clothing from
Gibson's Men's Wear. Fashions
suitable for every size and age will be
featured as well as a variety of
children's clothing..
Again this year the UCW has
expanded and diversified the musical
entertainment from piano, vocal, and
dancing which will keep your toes
tapping. The One Paul Brother and
Shirley Show will be featured in the
afternoon.
Throughout the day there will be
opportunities to visit the new
location of the Terrific Toonie Sale
featuring an array of many
homemade and interesting items.
Everyone who attends will also have
a chance to take home one of the
many door prizes.
Joining the UCW again this year is
the Blyth Business Association and
the participating stores will offer
many specials and extend a welcome
to you.

draws. The lucky recipients of these
draws- will be presented with baskets
full of wonderful surprises on the day
of the event.

his 16th birthday March 30.
Greeting at Blyth United Church
on Sunday, March 17 were Doug
' and Barb HoWson. Guest musician
was Margaret Kai. Bodie Craig sang
a solo, The Perfect Prayer. Reading
the scripture and leading .in the
reading of the Psalm was Pat
Brigham.
Rev. Eugen Bannerman gave each
one of the children a sheet of paper
with four pictures of Jesus on it,
then asked them which one they
liked. The majority of the children
picked the one of Jesus smiling. It
makes us feel good when we smile,

takes 43 muscles to frown and only
17 to smile. Laugh at yourself' first;
it's the person you have known the
longest, the best, and can forgive the
quickest.

over the years, which are
guaranteed to. make you laugh:.
Don't let worry kill you, let the
Church help; Thursday night is
potluck supper, Prayer and
medication to follow; Remember in
prayer the many who are sick.of our
church and community; The ladies
meeting will be hell as usual next
Wednesday; This being Easter
Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to
come forward and lay an egg on the
altar.
