Pat Miliken was guest speaker. Elva Brown filled in as guest musician. The scripture reading was read by Barb Richmond. Pat's story to the children was telling the purposes of the staff and presented each one with a candy cane to represent the staff. Pat's message to the adults was the story of the chosen people going to be promised land and the feelings and faith they must have had to leave everything behind and travel for 40 years to the promised land. We must be like them and be ready for change in this changing world we live in. Emily Phillips reported to the congregation of the meeting of Huron-Perth Presbytery she had attended during the week. Bad bills turn up in Seaforth Huron OPP received two calls about counterfeit bills in the town of Seaforth. On March 4 the first call was received from the Seaforth Community Centre when a counterfeit $10 was found in the cash deposit. Since the arena was so busy that weekend they have no idea who passed the bill. Next on March 6 another counterfeit $10 was bound in the deposit of one of the local grocery stores uptown. Both bills have been seized and sent off to the RCMP counterfeit bureau in Ottawa. A check has indicated that over 50 reports have been received of this bill throughout Ontario. Huron OPP would like to remind all businesses in Huron County that the OPP have information and training videos available to help in detecting counterfeit currency. Next month April 9, 10 and 11, during the evening, the RCMP and OPP are conducting counterfeit presentations in Exeter with the assistance of the South Huron Business of Commerce.
