WI)H adds page to web At the Feb. 28 board meeting, the Quality and Communications Corrimittee presented the new page to be added to the_ Wingham and District Hospital web page at www.winghosp.on.ca Questions and Answers is designed to answer questions' the community may have about the hospital. This first update looks at some of the regulations that dictate how hospitals are governed and run. Mary Chippa, chairman of the committee, explained that future updates of Questions and Answers OPP investigate Brussels thefts OPP are investigating two thefts which occurred in Brussels. On March 2 at approximately 8:45 a.m, OPP officers in Huron were contacted over a theft from- a residence on Alexander Street. Sometime during the night a 1999 Ski-doo, model MXZ600 yellow in colour was stolen from the yard. The snowmobile is valued at $6,500 and has Ontario marker #863752. On Feb. 25 shortly before 9:45 a.m. a citizen reported a theft. A 1981 Jeep CJ had been left parked behind a local -business on Turnberry Street overnight. Sometime during that time the vehicle was forced open and an Alpine stereo valued at $600 was stolen. Anyone who can help investigators solve this crime is asked to call the local OPP or Crime Stoppers. Chippa stated that copies -of all Questions and Answers updates would be Provided to the local news media. Local clubs are welcomed to download the page for member discussion. The Wingham and District Hospital web page was developed, and is • maintained, by Frans Lichtenberg as a community service. The web page was posted in 1998 and informatiop updates are provided by hospital leaders. Ideas for a review and update of the web site features are being discussed — watch for further developments. Break-in to, shed On March 1 at 2:30 p.m. a break- in was reported to a shed located on Concession #12 of East Wawanosh. The victim told police that sometime during the night a shed was entered and 10 gardening tools were stolen. Missing are four shovels, three pitchforks and three potato forks valued at $200. Any person who has information about these stolen items is asked to call the local OPP or Crime Stoppers. The Blyth Festival is 'presenting That Magic Guy, a show sure to impress even the best of junior magicians. That Magic Guy is scheduled to present his Magical Wander Show at Blyth Memorial Hall, March 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Peter Mennie is That Magic Guy, and describes his show as a musical, magical, stand-up situational comedy of errors. That Magic Guy is recommended for school-aged children, their parents and of course grandparents. That Magic Guy presented his show to an invited audience at the Blyth Festival three weeks ago, and amazed the crowd with many of his card tricks, particularly when he stuck a playing card on the ceiling! Mennie has promised the Blyth Festival that he will tackle that feat again in the theatre.
